Long drives can get noisy when air hits your crossbars. The Rhino-Rack RVP uses slim, elliptical aluminum bars designed to cut through the wind and reduce drag. Rubberized Vortex strips in the top channels disrupt airflow to minimize whistling and vibration, so you can travel at highway speeds without constant background noise.

If you like your setup to look like it belongs there, these flush-mount bars are ideal. The crossbars blend seamlessly into the legs with no overhang, giving a neat, low-profile appearance that looks built-in. The matte black finish ties everything together for a solid, factory-style look that doesn’t stand out or add unnecessary bulk.

When you’re hauling cargo boxes, kayaks, or camping gear, strength matters. The structural-grade anodized aluminum bars with H-shaped internal extrusions give excellent rigidity without adding weight. UV-treated, glass-reinforced nylon legs resist harsh weather and sunlight. The system supports up to 176 lbs, always staying within your vehicle’s roof load rating.

This rack works with just about any rooftop accessory type. Each crossbar has a built-in C-channel for channel-mounted attachments like bike racks, kayak carriers, or ski holders. You can also use clamp-on mounts if you prefer that style. The Vortex strips cushion your gear and keep it from slipping around, while split strip sections make installing accessories simple—no trimming required.

Integrated locks on each leg secure the rack and your channel-mounted gear to the roof. The keyed-alike covers keep everything consistent so one key operates all locks. With the locks engaged, your rack stays put and your gear is protected whether you’re parked overnight or stopped for lunch on the road.

top quality materials, instructions could have been a little more detailed but it was pretty easy to assemble/install otherwise. I wish Rino-Rack have a silver/brush aluminum version instead of only black (the box actually shows a silver rack). Haven't driven with the racks installed yet so I don't know how quiet they are. I have a set of Thule Aero bars that are whisper quiet so I'm hoping these are the same. I would recommend.....
I purchased a Rhino Rack RVP Roof Rack (RRRVP27) for my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. The product installation was straightforward and the crossbars have a sleek finished look. I use the crossbars in conjunction with two Thule Sidearm 594XT bicycle racks and the setup works great.
I appreciate that the product blends in nicely with the look of the vehicle as the crossbars do not extend past the roof line and that security locks are included with the system.
One drawback is that the crossbars, which are designed to be whisper quiet, whistle while driving. I have a panoramic sunroof which may be a contributing factor to the increased noise levels and this may vary with a traditional roof.
Rack is solid, attractive, and well made. The "rack kit" comprises three separate kits; the base kit which includes the brackets and hardware that attach to the oem rails on the vehicle, the feet kit which attach to the crossbars to allow the crossbars to attach to the base rail brackets. Consequently, I found the printed instructions lacking in content and continuity (more on that later), but overall the install is reasonably straight forward and intuitive.
As someone with arthritic thumbs I found inserting the mounting screws and attaching the rubber skirts to the base rail brackets, along with insertion of the rubber strips into the crossbars to be somewhat of a challenge. In addition, the feet kit was short on mounting hardware and the hex-head cap screws supplied were not desirable for mounting feet to base brackets so I sourced replacement hardware locally.
Back to content and continuity of written instructions. No mention that crossbars were location specific and cut too different lengths and can be distressing if you don't think to check fit at the start of installation.
Otherwise, the rack looks good and is solid on the roof. I have not noticed any appreciable increase of wind noise before/after rack install and would not hesitate to recommend to a friend.
P.S. Jesse and the folks at etrailer were great to work with/answer questions.
Great product! Needs better instructions. Rather than trying to picture the very small torx screw head in figure 8, show leader lines from the screw to the correct bracket holes to be used. Otherwise, I'm quite happy with these cross bars.
Great customer service great prices easy to install. I really, really love it.
I got this roof rack for transporting my canoe on my 2012 CRV - the roof rack installs very easily and didn't take much time to put together. It goes on/off the car easily, so I can take the bars off when I don't need them. I don't notice much noise or difference in driving quality with the bars on vs off.
Great service the producto looks Real good thanks
Great job with the packaging, everything was there and it all fit like a glove.
Chad helped me find a kit for my suv that was very difficult to find. No other site could help me. They followed up to see how it went with an email and I was pretty impressed by that! Thank you
Fit was good, installation straight forward, seems sturdy.
All parts and pieces fit perfectly making for a hassle free install.Customer service when I had questions, even on a Sunday, was excellent. Thanks!
I have used them to carry 2 16ft 2 by 12s on the roof. Worked great.
Easy to install. Product looks as expec ted
The product is great and the pricing was very reasonable. The company was fast in shipping and communicated very well. I would definitely recommend them and return to purchase other products
Order received but included incorrect mounting brackets. etrailer is working on correcting the priblem at this time.
Seems to be of good quality and the installation was simple too! We used this to mount our Thule Cargo box and it worked great. I was shocked how little noise there was from the wind, even at highway speeds, with or without the box attached.
5 stars for e-trailer (prompt delivery, fair price, great instructional video), 4 stars for Rhino rack. Because the back cross bar was about 1/8" short, I had to modify the locking Leg Phillips Head screw insertion. Once complete everything seems tight and sturdy.
Racks worked out great. Easy to install, perfect fit and very quiet.
This went on in a matter of minutes and is a great addition to our new ride
Installed and works just as expected. Very happy with these rails and the amount of resources such as videos and detailed product information was super helpful. Looks really good and fit perfect. Way lower profile than the OEM rails and being rhino rack there are many accessories/add ons that can work with these.
I absolutely love it... I regret not getting it before. Now I can put all my fishing rod’s when I go fishing.
Easy to install when I watched the vide o!
These fit very well on the naked roof of my 2016 Toyota Highlander. Installation was simple; the kits match up perfectly with the fixed mounting points on the roof. The only somewhat tedious part was inserting the rubber strips into the c channels of the bar. Customer service was for the most part very helpful. Only hit one snag during a phone chat before I ordered: The rep. would have steered me wrong on a product if I hadn't double-checked some things independently.
