Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this CIPA replacement side mirror. This is gonna be a direct replacement for the passenger side factory mirror on your Jeep. It is designed to replace the factory mirror on the year ranges and models of Jeep that you see on the screen there. So if you have any of those. You're trying to replace that original passenger mirror this is gonna be exactly what you need.
It is designed to match the Jeep specs for a nice custom look and fit. It is going to be very easy to get installed. You've got same mounting points here so you can just use the included hardware to get the bolts put into the existing mounting holes and you'll be ready to go. It does have the ball and socket joint on the backside here. That's going to allow you to rotate the mirror in all directions for perfect positioning.
So you can get that line of sight that you need there on your passenger side. And this is an OE grade product. The front of the glass is plated with a reflective chrome. So it is gonna give you a nice, clear sharp image and the glass is flat. So it is going to give you the true representation of the object, size and distance so you don't have to worry about objects actually being closer than they appear.
This will eliminate that so you can make sure that as you're changing lanes or backing up you know just how much space you have there. This does have an aluminum housing with black, black powder coat finish and it's gonna be very durable and rust resistant. It does also have the breakaway design. So if you we're to run into the side of your garage or parking post or something like that the mirror will fold in or out to deter any breakage. So it will hold up well for you.
For those of you who do need a little bit more reassurance that this is going to replace the mirror on your Jeep that original equipment number that you see on the screen there is what this is gonna be replacing. So if you see that number in your owner's manual or or you're taken off your original mirror, you can trust this is going to be the replacement that you need. So that completes our look for today. Fit and finish were perfect. My only issue is the whistling noise it makes when driving, usually starts about 25MPH.
Mirror vibrates. However I could not find another that came close to satisfying my rear view need. Jeep Wranglers with frame mounted mirrors suck on passenger side.
Not a bad mirror for the price . With a little modification on the mounting rods they work well. They do vibrate quite abite ,
Will figure out how to elminate that latter.
I returned the first mirror due to distortions in the glass as well as vibration. The replacement wasn't much better. I have the passenger factory mirror to compare this replacement to.
The mirrors look really good. They were exact replacements for the orginal mirrors and the installation was straight forward and easy. All the required hardware was provided. I am very satisfied.

Hi Suzanne,
I received the mirrors yesterday. I immediately installed them. Fit was perfect. It took about 30 minutes to install both mirrors and align them for trailer towing. I want to complement Suzanne for verifying these were in fact the type of mirrors that I wanted. I had a bad experience with another organization previously, in that they said the mirrors they sent were what I needed. They were wrong and I had to go through the odious issue of returning the mirrors, etc, etc, etc. Again, etrailer did a great job. Thank you!!!
Exactly what I was looking for. Perfect fit. Convex mirror allows me to see whats on my left and right sides. My only issue was the two week delay because the part wasn't in inventory and had to be back ordered.
Needed a new mirror for my 2001 Jeep. Ordered one from etrailer.com and received quite fast . It was packaged very well an protected. Took about 15 minutes to install. Looks and fits just like the original one that was on the jeep. Personnel were very helpful whole ordering to insure I got the right one I needed. Good follow information about shipping. I will be ordering more items when needed from etrailer.com
When installing the mirror, I determined the manufacturer drilled the mounting holes at the wrong angle. I needed to re-drill the hole in the correct position.
