You don't have to fight the wheel through wind and passing trucks. This stabilizer keeps your coach tracking straight and gives you more control to handle a blowout (if that happens), so you're not tired at the end of a long day of driving.
You've had tough experiences while driving your rig. You white-knuckled when a semi blasts past and nudged things back on course through heavy winds. It's exhausting. With this stabilizer in place, the coach tracks straight instead of wandering and it cuts down on those constant corrections you have to make. It makes a huge difference when you spend hours on the road. When you stop fighting the wheel, you won't be worn out when you finally park.
A front tire failure is a nightmare scenario everyone dreads because it happens fast and the wheel yanks hard. If you've been through it, you know how helpless it feels when the rig wants to pull out of the lane. That's probably when this stabilizer really matters the most. It helps hold the wheel steady so you can slow down and bring your coach under control. It won't stop a tire from failing, but it can keep that situation from turning into something worse.
This stabilizer bolts on with hand tools and includes the mounting hardware for your vehicle. Once it's mounted, it has to be centered and torqued properly to work. If you're comfortable with those adjustments, you can handle it with some extra time. If not, we can help you find a trusted installer to handle the job. Either way, you only have to do it once, and it stays put.

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at the Safe-T-Plus custom fit steering stabilizer with mounting hardware kit. Now this has been designed to fit your 2013 to 2016 Tiffin PowerGlide, and on custom fit parts such as this kit, I do recommend taking advantage of our Vehicle Fit Guide here at etrailer. Pop in the year, make and model of your vehicle and our Fit Guide will confirm if this will work for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So this steering stabilizer is designed to make driving your vehicle feel more controlled and less stressful, especially on those longer trips.
This is going to help keep your steering centered so you're not going to have to constantly correct the steering wheel when dealing with crosswinds, rough roads, or passing semi-trucks. Now one of the biggest safety benefits is during a front tire blowout. So instead of the steering wheel pulling sharply, the stabilizers are going to help you maintain better control, giving you a better chance to safely guide your truck back on the road. But this is also going to help reduce driver fatigue because you're making fewer steering corrections throughout the day while you're going down the road. So you're going to be able to relax your grip on the steering wheel and actually arrive at your destination feeling less worn out.
Now as you probably know, a steering stabilizer is just one component of a complete handling package, if you will, that a lot of motor home owners will purchase or look into. So if your vehicle includes front or rear anti-sway bars, those are going to be great items to consider to go along with this steering stabilizer. Each one's going to improve different aspects of how your vehicle handles. So for instance, a sway bar is going to help reduce body roll and it's just going to improve the overall stability of your vehicle, where a steering stabilizer is going to keep your steering more controlled by reducing that wandering and help minimize the effects, as we mentioned, of crosswinds and road imperfections that you come across. So together, a sway bar system, whether it's front or rear or both, and a steering stabilizer are all going to work together to give you a more stable, confident and more comfortable driving experience.
If you want to check into sway bars to see if they're available for your Tiffin PowerGlide, you can find those sway bars, again, going through our Vehicle Fit Guide. This stabilizer itself is built for long-term reliability with a sealed hydraulic design that doesn't require routine maintenance along with a durable protective finish to stand up to the elements. You're going to get all the hardware that you see here along with instructions. You're not going to have to worry about welding, drilling or anything like that. It's a bolt-on instillation.
However, speaking about instillation, if you would prefer someone else handle that for you, on this product page, typically underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to install this for you. Well, again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
