Make your vehicle easier to steer and control with the TruTrac system. This unique rod keeps your vehicle's axle in line so that your wheels won't veer into ruts. 4140 Chromoly steel and polyurethane bushings are strong and long-lasting.
Features:
Rut tracking occurs when your truck or RV hits an uneven patch of pavement and is, consequently, pulled into that rut and off of the smooth pavement. With larger trucks and motor homes, this problem can be difficult to correct because you have to work even harder to steer back onto the road. With Roadmaster's TruTrac system, rut tracking is a thing of the past. The unique Trac rod attaches to the front axle of your vehicle, essentially holding it in place to prevent jarring and any unnecessary shifting. In addition to minimizing rut tracking, the TruTrac system helps to end driver fatigue by eliminating wander, which is the "loose steering" feeling that causes you to oversteer.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. And today, we're gonna take a look at this Roadmaster Truetrac front axle trac rod for large trucks and RVs. Now, this is a custom-fit item that is designed to fit the 2003 to 2009 Chevrolet Kodiak 4500 and 5500, and then the 2003 to 2009 GMC TopKick 4500 and 5500. This system is going to make your vehicle easier to steer and control. And this unique rod is going to keep your vehicles axle in line so that your wheels don't veer into ruts. Rut tracking occurs when your truck or your RV hits an uneven patch of pavement and is then pulled into that rut and off of the smooth pavement.
With larger trucks and motor homes, this problem can be difficult to correct because you have to work even harder to steer back onto the road. Now, with Roadmaster's Truetrac system, rut tracking is a thing of the past. This unique track rod is going to attach to your front axle and essentially it's gonna hold it in place to prevent jarring and any unnecessary shifting. In addition to minimizing rut tracking, the Truetrac system is going to help end driver fatigue by getting rid of wandering which is the loose steering feeling that causes you to over steer. Now, this feature's built in polyurethane bushings instead of the standard rubber variety for a longer lasting system.
By the way, polyurethane, in case you didn't know, is durable and resistant to damage caused by oil, gasoline, and ozone. So less wear means less give in the system and better support. This is made here in the USA, constructed of thick cadmium-plated 4140 chromoly steel for superior strength. And this is going to install using existing holes in your vehicle's frame. So what that means for you is no drilling or no welding required for installation.
This includes a mounting hardware and I've been trying to show you the other parts here as well during our time together. And also, a set of instructions to walk you through the installation process. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy.
