Video Transcript for Breaking Down the Thetford Aqua-Magic Style Plus RV Toilet

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at this Thetford Aqua-Magic Style Plus Standard Height RV Toilet. Now, this bone color RV toilet is going to be great for part-time RV living. The standard profile height is as tall or taller than household toilets. And, while we're talking about the height of this toilet, let me go ahead and give you some dimensions just so you can know right up front if this is going to work for you or not.

So, measuring from the floor that it's going to be mounted to, to the top of our seat here, as I hope you can see, we're sitting right at about 17 1/2" tall. So, that's going to be our seat height. And then let me go ahead and give you some overall measurements. I'm gonna turn it this way, so I can give you the height. So, this is about the tallest point here.

So, as you can see, we are sitting pretty close to 20" tall. And then looking at the overall depth. See if I can line that up for you. Looks like we are right at about 21 and 13, 16 inches deep. And then, looking at the width- (bowl scraping) (metal tape measure clanging) Looks like we are pretty close to...

So, about 16 inches wide or so. Now, with the lid open, it's obviously going to measure taller. It's gonna be about 33 1/2" tall, again, when that lid is open. And from the center of the flange to the wall it's going to be about 11". And this does feature a full-size antimicrobial rounded front seat and lid, which is going to be very easy to swap out for a style of your choice, if this isn't something that would match the bathroom of your RV or camper.

The porcelain bowl is going to be very easy to clean and long-lasting. And this is a clean rinsing toilet. The pressurized water is going to flow around the entire bowl. And an optional hand sprayer is available for an extra clean, if that's something that you would prefer. So, on your screen, I am putting our item number for that hand sprayer. You can just take that item number and pop it in the search field of our website, and that will take you to that hand sprayer, and you can add that to your order. So, again, just giving you another view there overhead. Now, this does feature a slow close lid that's going to quietly lower without slamming against the bowl, which, that's a great feature. So, this is going to be great, especially in the middle of the night, if you have little ones that get up, and you're not gonna have to worry about the seat and the lid slamming shut in the middle of the night and, potentially, waking up the rest of the folks in that camper or RV. So, that slow close lid is just a great feature on this. Now, as I'm sure you already saw, this does have a front-mounted foot pedal that's going to make flushing fast and easy. And let me go ahead and open this up and just, again, show you the inside of the bowl when I depress on that pedal. And that flush valve is going to wipe clean with every use, so very easy to use, very convenient that that pedal is right up there in the front. And this is going to install directly above your black water tank. This has a simple gravity flush design, and the polypropylene base is lightweight yet durable. And this is going to be a two-bolt installation. You probably saw my bolts here fall when I was pushing down on the pedal. So, it does include the hardware here, along with the gasket. You will also receive instructions. So, this is going to fit most existing floor flanges. This is, again, I mentioned, the color is identified as bone, which, I've never heard this color described that way before. But, if you we inchesre wondering the closest, more familiar, I guess, color description or color name, I guess this would be like a beige, a tan color, something like that. When I think of bone, I think more of an off white, but, to my eyes at least, this looks more like a beige, tan color, something like that. So, hopefully, that helps you a little bit better with the color that this toilet is. (bowl scraping) Well, I think that's gonna wrap up our look today.
