To determine what size roller and fabric you need, measure from the center of your Solera awning's left arm to the center of its right arm. You can also measure the width of your old roller and replace it with a roller that's the same size, but measuring the distance between the two arms will give you the most accurate dimension. Do not order based on the old fabric width, as it will be too short.
Can you replace just the awning fabric without the roller tube? The answer is absolutely yes - but do you really want to?
To replace just the fabric on your awning, you will have to disassemble your whole awning anyway, just like you would if you were replacing the roller and fabric assembly. When you get your new fabric, you will have to unfold it and let it lie out for a good while to get rid of the creases. Then you'll have to painstakingly feed the fabric into the roller tube and into the awning rail on the other side. Once your awning's put back together, you'll still have to extend and retract it multiple times, tweaking and tugging at it to try and get the fabric centered and wrinkle-free between the roller and the rail.
If you get the roller/fabric combo right from the get-go, it's going to make it so much easier. You just have to feed the other end of the fabric into your awning rail and attach the new roller to the heads on your awning arms. Roll the awning in and out a couple of times to get the fabric even and you're done. Save your weekend and get the roller and fabric kit.

Great add putting the electric awning on my rig. Reasonably easy to install and works great. Love the adjustable extension arms to lower a corner to run water off in one direction.
I think I may have,ordered the wrong product. I have a power awning and this appears to be for a manual system. Going to attempt to use the motor off existing tube. Thanks
This was an exact replacement for a 10 year old camper/awning. etrailer had the materials in stock and the web site was easy to order from. I did note on the tracking info that there was damage reported early in the shipment. When the package arrived at the local terminal I received an delivery scheduling phone call. We discussed the note in the shipping history (the scheduler even sent me a pic from his cell) and I was able to convince the shipper to reject prior to delivery thus saving a good deal of hassle. A phone call to customer service at etrailer explaing the circumstance yielded a quick shipment of another awning. The awning came in a couple days and I was able to get it installed prior to a major trip.

The awning is made very well. The end caps would not work on my arms. I was able to use the ones from my old tube. The length of the tube and material was 3 inches shorter than the awning I replaced. I had to modify it and add a piece of metal to make it wide enough so it would retract and line up with the arms. It is working fine. I was given conflicting information from e-trailer about if it would work with my current frame. I had no other choice but to modify and make it work.

Exactly like the stock one. At least before I ripped it off on that one lane road an hour outside of Nashville. Easy to replace. Pretty straight forward and it works like a charm.

It looked great. When the RV Repair Tech arrived and removed it from the shipping tube, it had been driven over with something pretty heavy. It broke the tube completely into and put a large flat spot on the roll. Tech saw it and said it could not be installed.

Typically people buy these for RV installations or replacements, I’m an avid RV’er and like most of us have awnings on our rigs. I decided why not on my house too! They’re easy to install and adjustable to give us the summer shade on the back of our house which faces due West. The only thing you need to do is buy a 115vac to 12vdc converter that can handle up to 80% of 30amps. Plenty of those are available. Using the Lippert “smart” arms also provide additional flexibility.
