Campground internet isn't always reliable. The Winegard ConnecT 2.0 creates a private RV WiFi network using campground WiFi or 4G LTE, while its built-in HDTV antenna lets you watch free local TV from one rooftop system.
Internet on the road changes from one campground to the next. Some parks have strong WiFi while others have slower or overloaded networks. The ConnecT 2.0 creates one private WiFi network inside your RV, then connects to available campground WiFi or 4G LTE cellular service. Your phones, laptops, streaming devices, and other connected equipment stay on the same network while the ConnecT manages how your RV gets online.
The rooftop unit combines internet connectivity with an over-the-air HDTV antenna, giving you access to free local TV channels while helping improve cellular reception through its elevated mounting location. Add the Winegard Bluetooth Dongle to connect the Halo Smart Sensor Kit, Halo Water Leak Sensor, Halo Motion Sensor, Halo Temperature and Humidity Sensor, or Halo Door and Window Sensor (WG52JJ, WG69BJ, WG49BJ, WG79BJ, WG89BJ, or WG99BJ - sold separately). Most sensor features and controls are handled through the RV Halo app. The app also includes a Tower Finder utility that shows nearby TV broadcast towers to help you see what local stations may be available.
The ConnecT supports Winegard FreedomGO, AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon cellular service. A compatible Mini SIM card and active data plan are required for cellular internet. If you use your own carrier, the SIM installs behind the exterior SIM cover, and the ConnecT software lets you configure the cellular provider and APN information needed for that service.
Choose a level roof location that can securely support the ConnecT, with at least 24" of clearance toward the front of the RV and 12" from the nearest obstruction and roof edge. The cable connections face the rear of the RV, and the power and coax cables enter through a 3/4" roof opening covered by the included cable-entry plate. The system requires 9V - 16V DC power, a 3A fuse, and a maximum power-cable run of 50' using 18-gauge wire. You'll also want Butyl tape and self-leveling lap sealant (AL66FJ and DC94SR - sold separately) beneath the mounting feet and around the feet, screws, and cable-entry plate to help prevent water intrusion.
