Your Halo sensors won't connect to select Winegard routers on their own. This Bluetooth dongle plugs into a compatible Gateway or ConnecT router, adding the connection needed to monitor compatible sensors through the RV Halo app.
Select Winegard Gateway and ConnecT routers need Bluetooth before they can communicate with Halo Smart Sensors. This dongle plugs directly into the router's USB port to add that connection. From there, you can add the Halo Smart Sensor Kit, Halo Water Leak Sensor, Halo Motion Sensor, Halo Temperature and Humidity Sensor, or Halo Door and Window Sensor (WG69BJ, WG49BJ, WG79BJ, WG89BJ, or WG99BJ - sold separately) depending on what you want to monitor. The sensors communicate with the dongle from up to 60' away, depending on obstructions.
Your compatible Gateway or ConnecT router acts as the connection point between the sensors and the RV Halo app. The app gives you access to sensor data and alerts for water leaks, motion, temperature, humidity, and door or window activity. Remote notifications require an internet connection and RV Halo Pro membership.

Let's take a quick look at this Winegard Bluetooth dongle that connects Gateway and ConnecT RV routers to your Halo smartphone app. So this dongle is essentially an add-on that's going to let you, let you use your compatible Winegard Gateway and ConnecT RV routers to communicate with Winegard Halo smart sensors. And it's meant for RV owners who already have or are planning to add those Halo sensors and want to see their sensor information alerts through the RV Halo smartphone app. The important thing to understand is that the dongle is the link between the Halo sensors and the compatible router.
The router does not have the Bluetooth connection needed to pass that sensor information along on its own. So plugging in this dongle adds that capability. Once everything is connected, the router's going to be able to send real-time sensor data and alerts to the Halo app, allowing the owner to keep tabs on their RV even when they're away. So obviously installation's going to be very straightforward. This is just going to plug right into the USB port on a compatible Gateway or ConnecT router.
No additional wiring or anything like that's going to be needed. I am listing the part numbers for those sensors that this is compatible with.
