Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at this Valterra RV Plumbing Fitting. It's a 90-degree elbow with half inch barb by half inch barb. Now, folks, this coupler here will connect hoses in the RV's freshwater plumbing system, and it is used for repairing leaky connections or installing new ones. As you can see, it's 90-degree, and like I said, it's a half inch barbed connection on both sides, and this end will fit a 3/8 inch inner diameter hose. Now, you wanna use hose clamps to secure those fittings once you have that hose on there, those are sold separately, or you can get them locally.
Now this 90-degree elbow will let water flow and help it stay flowing, rather, whenever there's a change of direction without risk of kinking your hose and those kind of things. It's built of a very sturdy black polypropylene construction. And that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look together. I'm Steven, thanks for watching.

Well I would have given the 1/2” plumbing fittings more stars but unfortunately the 90 degree elbow I ordered only turns to the left. I need one to turn to the right. Though I am still having to look around for a right turning elbow fitting I just wanted to say thank you so much for letting me share my experience with your product.

Hard to find product, good quality and perfect fit for replacing that old plastic pipe in your rv with easy to use flexible plastic water tubing. Fast shipping. Steady customer of this company. Was able to eliminate two impossible to repair leaks in old pex fittings.

view full answer... - Water Line and Connectors for Fresh Water RV Tank and FaucetFirst, the fittings in our freshwater connectors and fittings page, which I have linked for you, are going to be safe for potable water. There are a lot of options, nothing labeled as a "Y" per se but I am sure that one of them, such as an elbow fitting like # RF844, or Tee fitting such as # RF843, could work for the line to the faucet. For 1/2 inch inner diameter water line we have # W01-1600PB (10 feet), # W01-1600 (100 feet), and # W01-1605BU (500 feet). These selections are all non-toxic.

The elbow fitting has 1/2" barb attachments on either side and is made of a black polypropylene. This fitting is only compatible with vinyl tubing.
