Hello, everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this Seaflo black 14 1/2 inch wide by 14 3/4 inch tall multipurpose access door. Now, this multipurpose access door will allow easy, keyless access to a compartment on your boat or your RV. So, this is ideal for accessing control panels, valves, and wiring. You can see this has a dual, quarter turn recessed latches.
And you can see when you turn them a quarter of a turn, both of them, they'll turn independently and it allows you to open the door. It is an easy-open hatch door. And as you can see, it'll swing a full 180 degrees to give you plenty of room to reach your gear. The durable, water-resistant, synthetic fittings and the rubber seal on this will help keep your compartment dry when the door is closed. So, when you close that and lock it back into place, that'll help seal it and keep any moisture from getting in there.
It is a low-profile hatch. Mounts flush to the surface. The top here has a nice, non-skid surface to it. And I wanna zoom in to try to show you that. So, if you look at the texture on it, you can see it's a non-skid surface, helps prevent slipping when this is installed in the floor.
And also, just to show you on the back of the lid, if we open up the lid there on the very back, you'll notice it has this heavy-duty support braces that are built-in and that gives you the extra strength because if you happen to have this installed on the floor and somebody would step on it right here, it is strong. So, it'll accept that weight. Won't do any damage to the lid. It is a strong ABS plastic construction. Resists UV rays, road salts and acids.
Now, the mounting hardware to install this is not included. You would have to supply that. But I did wanna show you the frame already has the holes drilled in for the mounting hardware, so all you'd have to supply is the hardware. This is a nice, black color. Now, this is also available in a white color, the same hatch. We do sell that separately on our website and it's listed on this product page as a related product. Few dimensions on this, I'm gonna give you the external dimensions, meaning with the door closed. The width and the height. So, if we take our tape measure and if we go overall width, external width, 14 1/2 inches. And if we do the external height, 14 3/4 inches tall. And then we're gonna do the opening. So, if I open up the hatch, oops, go ahead and open the lid, open the lid and we're gonna measure the width and the height on the opening. So widthwise, you're gonna be right at at 11 5/8 inches wide and 11 5/8 inches tall. And then again, you can see how the lid would close. Rotate your latches quarter of a turn and that locks it in place. You're all ready to go. But that should do it for the review on the Seaflo black 14 1/2 inch wide by 14 3/4 inch tall multipurpose access door..

The shipping and processing was great and the quality of the access door is really nice. However the door will not work for my application. The 9-5/8 wide door has an opening that is only 6-1/2 wide and I need 7 inches. I’ll keep this door and use it for a different application, it will cost to much to return it.
Arrived timely and looks like good quality. We will install it next week. This will give a bit better access to the area where the water valves are located
This is exactly what I was looking for as part of my camper remodel. These doors are sturdy and they seal very well. I didn't want another key to get into a storage area of my camper. These latches are great and you can change the direction they close in so all the latches on both doors go in the same direction.
Don't for get to buy some sealant for when you install them.

Nice solid door, smooth latched and simple installation. Used it on my houseboat, we removed the old propane water heater and needed a cover for the hole left behind, but wanted it to be a door so we can access the new electric water heater for service in the future. I’ve had it for a year and it looks great and hasn’t faded in color.
Excellent. Shipped quickly, solid, waterproof, looks and feels like a strong, quality, product.
Looks great, Easy Install. However....The latch broke within a year. Bummer. But I should add that E-Trailer responded quicky on a warranty claim. Overall it is good product but could use some R&D improvement. I'd much rather just bought the one piece that broke.
Appears to be great quality. Arrived quickly and was adequately packed. Installed on RV easily.
Unlike other products purchased from E-Trailer that have performed well this product not so great. With minimal usage in one year of ownership the latch mechanism failed. I will be seeking a warranty replacement.

I was excited to receive my hatch door.
I after opening it it seemed to be well built and nicely packaged when pulling back the plastic wrap I did notice it had a few scratches on the front.
I’m not too worried about the scratches because it’s really not that visible from our house.
This is going on the outside of a new Spa that we are putting man made veneer stone on.
The door or hatch is exactly what we needed.
