If you're looking to store your kayaks so they're not all over your yard or on the dock or inside your garage piled high, this is going to be the RaxGo freestanding kayak rack that can carry up to four kayaks or paddle boards, if needed. We'll take a look at some of its functions here right at etrailer. I have four kayaks loaded up, here. We've got our heavier fishing kayak.
We have our two smaller kayaks. You have just a good variety here just to show the different capabilities of this kayak stand. Now, you do have a total capacity of up to 220 1/2 pounds. But from personal experience, a lot of that goes into how you're storing your kayaks, where you have this stand mounted, and where your weight distribution is, too. With this being a freestanding rack, you have this really long strut here at the bottom.
That's where you get a lot of your stability for up to four kayaks. Now, we have these feet here at the bottom which are gonna be hexagon feet, giving you that stability and that weight capacity. But depending on where you have this installed, let's say in your garage where you may have epoxy floor, it could look like this. But if you have it outside or on the floor that you can actually screw into, it has separate brackets to help out with that. If you're in the garage where there's not gonna be much movement, it's fine as is.
But if you feel like there's gonna be a lot of wind, especially if you have this outside, you have these separate brackets included to help with that stability. Also, these feet are adjustable, in case you are installed on an incline. So, all you would need to do is adjust the feet up or down, and then you have these nuts here that you'll use to lock in place. What supports your kayaks are these J-hooks. So, you have the J-hook, which, by the way, is adjustable, and this is gonna be a metal hook that has foam padding similar to a pool noodle in material.
Plus, you also have this fabric cover for that, protecting your kayak from scuffs and scratches while also just making it easier to load and unload. Depending on the size of your kayaks, specifically the width of their holes, that's where adjusting the hooks up and down can be helpful. Now, I have both hooks at the direct center of the whole options, just so that we can see what our almost minimum distance apart is. But I have more space down or up if needed. Now, with two kayaks loaded up, this is gonna be the overall look of what that would look like. Now, this is gonna be the four-kayak version, helpful if you have up to four kayaks.
