Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer. Today we're gonna take a look at the RV Designer 1/4" by 3" safety lock pin. Now if you want to keep your coupler latch secure, this safety lock pin right here is designed to help keep the coupler securely latched during transit. These are also sometimes called a snapper pin. It's because when you hook them up, they actually snap closed to keep it into place. These will help prevent accident uncoupling while you're towing.
Basically, the snapper pin's gonna give you security of a pin and cotter combination in a single assembly. And the way you would install this, you just open it up like that, slide this through the hole in your coupler, push this around there, and then clip it onto the end to hold securely, secure it in place, and it's easy quick release for easy removal. Also, you can slide it out to operate your coupler. Now you do wanna choose the correct size for your coupler. You wanna measure the diameter of the pinhole that's on your coupler, and the width of the coupler where the pin goes through.
In this case, this one's gonna fit a 1/4" diameter pinhole. That's the diameter of the pin right here. And the usable length on this, which is measured inside, is three inches. It is a durable zinc plated spring steel construction for reliable use. And this part is for one lock pin.
But that's gonna do it for a look at this RV Designer 1/4" by 3" safety lock pin.
