Note: When using the Sturgi-Stay ports for cooking, bear in mind that the propane pressure is still high, as the Sturgi-Stay is installed before the regulator. Outdoor cooktops, grills, or other appliances will often require a regulator. Check your equipment to see if one is required.
Make camping more fun and relaxing. Moving your RV once you've gotten settled at the campsite is a real chore. No one wants to have to pack up, unplug, and go refill the propane tank, just to come back to the site and set everything up all over again. This Sturgi-Stay T-fitting lets you connect an auxiliary cylinder to your setup using the included fill hose. As a result, you can run your appliances from the propane in your cylinder rather than using up the LP gas from your RV's tank. When you run out, just refill the auxiliary cylinder and hook it up again.
The disposable cylinder port on the Sturgi-Stay provides a connection point for a small, portable appliance or propane tree. This way you can power a grill, heater, or other accessory without needing to use a 1-lb throwaway cylinder. Simply attach an extension hose to your appliance and then to the disposable cylinder port on the T-fitting.

Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-fitting with hoses for POL valve. This adapter kit lets you connect an auxiliary cylinder to your RV's propane system that allows you to use your auxiliary cylinder as your propane supply to power your appliances. We have the nice T-fitting here, which connects inline between your tank valve and your pressure regulator. It does have an O-ring here on the POL fitting that ensures a nice tight seal with the tank. We have the male number 600 1"x20 disposable cylinder port that lets you hook up a small appliance or propane tree using the included adapter hose, and then we also have the 1/4" female inverted flare fitting that faces outward for easy connection of the included inverted flare pigtail.The seal hose, which is the shorter hose, 5' long, the fill hose accommodates a higher flow of gas without going into bypass mode. It connects your auxiliary gas cylinder to the included T-fitting.
We're looking at, when it comes to certification, it's UL and CSA certified, and it is designed for LP gas only. Maximum pressure rating is 250 PSI. Fill hose measures 5' long, and it has the 1/4" male inverted flare and POL tank connection on it. And then we have an adapter hose that measures 12' long, and it has the 1"x20 male number 600 fitting, as well as the 1"x20 female number 600 fitting as well. That's going to do it for today's look at the MB Sturgis Sturgi-Stay T-fitting, with hoses for POL valve..

the hardware fittings worked fine; the hose for some reason would not allow adequate flow of propane to the regulated appliance. I purchased another hose and it works now.
We keep the RV in the mountains in the winter and this allows me to refill my LP without moving my RV. I highly recommend it.
I have had this for a year now and it is one of the best modifications I have made to my motor home. I no longer need to take a 41' motor home down to get propane, I can now just use 20lbs tanks instead. The quick disconnects makes this very easy to use.

This Kit was a breeze to install. Standard propane fittings.
On my Class C motor home I had to extend the guard plate to protect the regulator since the kit move it out further and exposed to road debris.
Now if I get low/run out of propane, I can just connect 20/30 pound cylinders with the quick connects.
As always fast service, items arrived as promised. Especially thankful this time for the ability to purchase a single replacement snap pad. Despite the manufacturers promise that they never fall off we lost one on our last 2500 mile trip where we stayed on level pads in commercial campgrounds. We think it might have been a manufacturing flaw since the other three are in place and firm, but with the pad lost we really don't know what the root cause was. Irritating was that Amazon and their supplier did not understand the problem and wanted us to return the "complete" item and they were not able to sell us a replacement pad and offered us a 20$ refund. etrailer to the rescue. Thanks. We will make sure that we look at etrailer first in the future.
one of the best products I have purchased for my RV. Using it now, as I write, Allowing my main tank to be shut off, instead relying upon a small portable tank that can be exchanged nearly everywhere....2nd hose allows for any propane item that has its on regular to be attached to the RV' main tank or the portable as it is being used of other purposes....And my RV has a measured "after the standard regulator" port for a BAR B Q pit that came with the RV....and I still find great value with the accessory I purchased that had\s 2 ports and hoses!

We are full time RVers. The Sturgi-Stay T-Fitting gives us a regulated external propane supply when we boondock half of each month. It is much easier to exchange a 20lb bottle than to pack up the rig and campsite for a trip to town for a refill.
Never had a MB Sturgis product that wasn't top quality. They make first class parts.
Initially I had difficulty locating this part. I found it on etrailers website which stated it was in stock. The order process was quick and I followed the shipping with the tracker etrailer sent. The part arrived a day early, it was the correct part and was installed with minor modifications. It works well from initial use. Will have to see how durable the part is during travel. It appears well constructed and is easy to use.
The total package, far better than others on the market. Includes the 2 hoses needed, 1 for your grill, 1 for your portable tank. A quality fitting that includes a quarter turn shutoff and quick couple on each branch. Shutoff relieves the pressure for connecting hoses and when the valve is then opened, it locks the coupler. Easy installation, I added a 4”x4” piece of plate steel to extend the mounting surface for the plastic regulator housing to attach to. This should help to reduce any strain the fittings. I had an issue with one of the included hoses. It appeared to be a defective nipple on one end that kept it from slipping into the coupler. One quick email and I had a replacement in just a couple days. “Thanks Carol and Hanna, you guys are great”
I saw this on a neighbors rv and looking it up I found it on your site.
I wanted It because we stay in RV parks and this makes It easy to attach my 20lb.propane bottle.
It was easy to order and fast service. I liked the tracker that I could follow the delivery.

Worked good, had to replace my propane connector to one with a gasket. But the motorhome is a 2016. So i replaced the regulator as well.
The hose inside the package is not the hose shown or described for that part number. It has a different fitting on the end and will not connect to my Sturgi-Stay fitting.
This is especially frustrating because I specifically ordered this part for an upcoming RV trip and now do not have enough time to wait for another one to be shipped. And trailer will not overnight. The packaging was correct, but the actual product inside was wrong.
I have photos showing the hose exactly as it arrived in the labeled package. I hope the seller corrects the issue and checks the remaining inventory so this doesn’t happen to someone else.
Just what I needed to connect a spare 20 lbs propane cylinder in line with the rv onboard tank. Now I can use the onboard tank as a backup and just refill the 20 pounder. 5 minute job to install and do a soap test for leaks. Can also hook our portable grill up to the 2nd quick connect. Perfect!

This unit does what it says it will however I think there is room for improvement. To use this system you need three wrenches on hand. A 7/8 for the hose to the gas cylinder, a 1/2" for removing the plug from the fitting and a 7/16 for the hose to the fitting connection. Why not make them both 7/16"? When you remove the hose you need to be very careful not to allow the ends to hit the dirt, why not have little caps on both ends to keep them clean when not in use. Again, it works but engineering wise could use some work for the price. This allowed us to use 20lb cylinders that cost 3.45 per gallon to fill vs 3.65 and moving the rig everytime the big tank got low.
