This built-in furnace will get your RV nice and toasty far quicker than a space heater. Doorless model includes backing plate for securing exhaust vent to your exterior wall. With 40,000 Btu of heat, we recommend this for RVs about 40' long.

Bigger isn't always better. Getting a furnace that's bigger than you need can cause problems. A major one is that it will burn even more propane than you need.
You really only need about 1,000 Btus for every foot of RV length. For example, a 20,000 Btu furnace would be good for a 20' trailer or motorhome. That's why we'd recommend this one for a 40' trailer.
If you're installing a new furnace, the decision between door or doorless furnace will depend on where its installed and how you can get to it for maintenance or repair. With a doorless version, only the vent plate will be visible on the outside of your RV. This gives you a cleaner look, but it also means that you must be able to access the furnace from the inside of your RV.
The doored version isn't really a door, but more of an access panel that is screwed in place. You shouldn't need to access your furnace regularly, but when you do, you will need that access panel if the furnace is mounted in a place that you can't easily get to inside your RV.

Hello neighbors and friends, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our 40,000 rated BTU Doorless Dometic RV furnace running on LP gas with an automatic pilot light that runs on 12 volts of DC current. So, folks, some quick dimensions to start with. 16 and a half inches wide, nine inches tall, 20 inches deep or long depending on how you mount it. That being said, you can technically mount this horizontally, like I have or vertically. It's up to you.
(hand knocking) Now, this will quickly and efficiently heat up the interior of your RV or camper and it's gonna replace or upgrade or even potentially add a furnace if you don't already have one to your camper, motor home, RV, travel trailer, fifth wheel, those kind of things. Now, it is a propane-powered or LP liquid propane. You got a connection here that runs all the way down into the furnace unit itself. You also got four wires here, two blue for the thermostat hookup, which is sold separately. And you also have a red and black for 12-volt positive and 12-volt ground.
(object knocking) So, again, thermostat's sold separately. I'll pop the item numbers on the screen for you. We carry those in black and white. You can also see we got a couple pop-out areas here on the side, two of the top, a couple on the bottom, a couple on the other side, and three out the back. They do include three of these duct (adapter knocking) attachment adapters here.
So, you get three of them. You also get a set of mounting brackets, a couple of mounting bracket installation screws, and there's a fuse inside of here. And on this sheet that it comes with, it has some instructions on it about removing existing furnace circuit only from the control converter panel. And then install the breaker fuse into converter panel furnace only circuit, and then you close the converter panel. So, that's something you need to be paying attention of when you're installing, along with all the other instructions that come with it.
It does have a nice (hand rubbing) heat shield right here. This part would be on the outside of the RV camper, et cetera. You wanna make sure you have some butyl tape, you could pick up separately to match, to make this seal watertight, weathertight from the outside where it kind of squeezes together here. So, keep that in mind as well. You've got the circuit board down in there. It's got a little LED light on it, that's your control board. It may flash some diagnostic codes or faults if you have some. So, meaning let's say you we inchesre outta gas and you didn't realize it, that could flash a light, and then based on the troubleshooting codes and the manual that comes with it, you would know, oh, okay, it's just outta gas. I need to refill my propane or swap a new tank over something of that nature. So, that assures you that it'll tell you exactly what's going on with the unit. You can remedy it really quick and get you back goin' with heat. The whole unit is ETL-certified. Once again, 40,000 BTUs. It's a nice compact design and I think that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look today folks! It does feature a low air turbulent fan here, a motor and everything, so it's gonna be quiet, a quiet operation. And like I said, you can mount this vertical or horizontally as well. It also comes with an automatic DSI gas pilot. So, that's gonna reduce the risk of gas leaks and also increase your fuel efficiency and it's gonna relight automatically until you shut the furnace off. So, meaning it's gonna continually relight automatically, unless you turn it off until, hey, I had don't need heat, so. Now, that will wrap it up for the day folks. I'm Steven, thanks for watching and have a great day!.
