When everyone's lining up for a shower, running out of hot water isn't an option. This water heater stretches your hot water farther, keeps showers going, and recovers fast with LP gas, electric, or both.
When everyone wants a shower around the same time, a standard tank can run short before the next person gets in. The XT design delivers up to 16 gallons of effective hot water from its 10-gallon tank at 130 degrees F moderated water, stretching your hot water supply through back-to-back showers and cleanup.
Some trips rely on campground power, while others depend on LP gas. Your water heater can run on LP gas, 115V AC electric power, or both together, giving your RV faster recovery when hot water demand picks up.
An aluminum tank means there's no anode rod to replace as part of routine maintenance. Dometic also specifies using only approved components, so bug screens, aftermarket heating elements, and other non-approved devices should be left off your water heater.
Winterizing is already on the checklist before putting your RV away. A pre-installed winterization bypass kit cuts down the steps needed to prepare the water heater, getting your RV ready for storage with less work.

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Dometic XT RV Water Heater. This RV water heater is designed to give you more usable hot water with less maintenance, so this is gonna be a great option to consider for families or anyone who uses a lot of hot water while camping. This XT design uses a 10-gallon aluminum tank to deliver the equivalent of up to 16 gallons of tempered, 130-degree hot water, so you're gonna be able to enjoy longer showers and have plenty of hot water left for washing dishes or cleaning up afterward. Now, to keep up with busy mornings, this heater can run on LP gas, 115-volt AC electric power, or both at the same time for faster recovery. That's going to help ensure that hot water is ready as demand increases, and a 10,000-BTU burner is going to provide reliable heating performance for everyday RV use.
Now, maintenance is gonna be kept to a minimum thanks to the aluminum tank, which doesn't require an anode rod and it also includes a factory-installed bypass kit, which is going to make winterizing quicker and easier when it's time to store your RV for the season. Let me give you some measurements here. So, looking at the overall height and width, we're sitting almost 16 inches on both of those directions, about 15 7/8 inches both ways. And then the overall depth from the front all the way to the back here, about 25 inches deep. Now, this does require a cutout that measures about 16 3/8 inches wide by 15 7/8 inches tall by 25 1/16 inches deep.
And we do have those measurements listed for you on this product page if you need to refer back to that. And then for installation, if you haven't already, you will need just to choose an assembly door and a black one will go with this, and also a control switch if you don't have one, so we do carry that black door assembly. You can just take that part number that you see there on your screen, pop it in the search field of our website, that will take you to that door. You can add that to your order if you don't already have it. And then I know that we have at the time of the recording of this video, I think at least one of those control switches that we carry here, so you can take a look at those options there as well, again, if you don't already have it.
But, overall, this water heater is gonna be a great option if you want longer-lasting hot water, flexible heating modes and low-maintenance design, it's gonna be very easy to own. This does include an instruction manual to walk you through the installation process, but if you think you want some help with installation, again, on this product page, typically found underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our Installer Locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to help you with the install. Well, again, my name's Andy, thank you for joining me.
