Hello, neighbors and friends, Steve here with etrailer.com. Folks, today we're looking at our Camco RV awning anchor kit with nice pull tension straps. So when this is fully installed, it should look something kind of similar to this. You'd anchor the round, twisty part down to the ground and you put the spring through that, and then on the spring you would have the tension strap. So, folks, this anchor kit's gonna let you secure that RV awning in windy conditions. The tension straps here that are included provide an excellent distribution of tension evenly.
You've got the spring-loaded strap keepers here. The strap here obviously would go through there, and this side here will hook onto the spring itself. Now, the spring itself, you simply put through there. After you've got this into the ground, you put the spring on next and then your strap to finish it off. And then you simply tension your strap down to the tension that you need.
These spiral stakes are gonna hold perfect in all kinds of soil, and it's ideal for even sandy use. It does store compactly, and you can fit any awning size out there pretty much by simply using the strap and the different lengths in the strap to make it work. Now, the overall length of these straps are 10 feet long, so that should be more than enough to work on any awning that are out there. Exactly what I needed. The ground stakes are easy enough and strong enough to insert into Rocky soil. I used two of my own ratchet straps to go completely across my awning in two different places. I did attach those straps to the ground stakes and springs. This is the only way I can keep my awning from being carried away by the strong winds here in Montana. Saves me the trouble of putting my awning in and out to avoid the winds.

The tie-downs were better than I expected. Great items and a must for everyone who has an awning.
Anchors were not able to hold in the sand where I am parked

This product is more for sandy soil. I believe all sand would be too loose for this product.
works as advertised. Peace of mind using...but when windy I still retract the awning because the stress is still present at the camper side.
