Today we're going to be looking at the Camco RV replacement plumbing vent cap and polar light part number CAM40034. This vent cap replaces a lost or damaged plumbing vent cap on your RV or camper. So now we're up here at the roof of our camper, this is kind of show you how this vent cap works. Now this vent cap is just the top portion of the vent, so you see here the whole entire vent itself is caulked down into the roof, the caulk is just going to help prevent any water from seeping in. You can see how this lifts up here which is how we will replace it, is there's these pins which would go into these holes. Now there's a screw hole here at the top of the vent cap which we're not actually going to take this off as there is a screw already on the cap and it is caulked over. So we don't want to break that seal.
Basically what you would do is you would just pinch in these two metal brackets here to go into the vent opening and then those pins would snap into here. Then what you would do is just take the existing screw from your old one if it by chance breaks off or just get a new one, it would just penetrate through the plastic here. That's just going to help really secure it, so if the pins break off or get weak, that screw is going to help secure it. Then what you would just do is just replace the caulk. Now this plumbing attic vent is for a one inch all the way up to two and three eights inch pipe. That'll complete today's review of the Camco RV replacement plumbing cap part number CAM40034.

Replacements fit perfectly. Fair price too. My old ones became weather worn and broke like most plastic weather vent do.

Product worked as expected. It was easy to install. I do wish it was white in color to match the trailer 1 1/2" pipe color. I did paint it white. The logo was not needed on the product.
We purchased two of the RV vents because ours had worn out from sun and weather exposure. They went into the vent openings smoothly, the whole job to replace the two vents took less than 15 minutes.
From now on, my first place to look for replacement parts will be etrailer.com. Easier to find stuff than on Winnebago site, lower price and the replacement part fits better than the original one
Before leaving I found a vent cap missing. I appreciate the seamless ordering process I encountered and the tracking afterwards worked flawlessly. I felt by the time I went to an RV store and couldn't find the right thing, I may as well order it from etrailer. Price was right too. I dont always write reviews as services can be variable and the reason i dont. That said, etrailer ...nailed it ....again. I built out a pull through snowmobile trailer with beds, heaters, etc into a very comfortable all weather rig. Etrailer supported me then and again for our little Nash. Purchased set of Dexter Nev-R-Adjust electric brake assemblies - completely assembled on a new backing plate - for 3500 lb Dexter axle on a Casita 17'. Since drums were off, included new bearings, races, seals, & caps along with partial drum grinding. As an old timer, I have rebuilt many brakes, bearings, etc. This job went as slick as any I have ever done. As soon as weather cooperated, done in 2 short sessions. etrailer was, as always, prompt on delivery with correct & complete parts. It doesn't hurt that they also provide extensive instructions for the first timer. Maybe not the cheapest but definitely the best parts & service.

Needed a replacement vent cap for one that had deteriorated. Original one had a base cemented to the roof. Installed easily in my 1 1/2" vent pipe and metal clips seem to hold it in place well.
This is just the replacement need for the two vents on our 2006 class B+ motorhome. The original parts disintegrated under the punishing sun.
