Today we're going to be taking a look at the Camco RV sewer drain cap. This sewer cap seals your RV's waste drain to prevent leakage. It's made from a strong, durable, black plastic construction. It's going to feature a four hook design for a tight, secure fit. It also has the appropriate seal for leak-proof performance. This is a bayonet fitting that connects tightly to a lug fitting.
It's also going to include a tether, so you don't have to worry about misplacing or losing your cap. A nice hand grip design on top allows for easy operation and control. It's made in the USA. We'll take a measurement real quick, inner edge to inner edge. We can see that that span right there is going to measure right on three and a half inches.

Reviewing a Sewer cap..what can you say.
Doesnt leak, has 4 lock pin slots, the full bar 'handle' is easy to use. This was used on our portable auxillary waste tank. Another replaced a 2 lock pin cap on our camper.

We are using a tote tank as a main black water storage/tote tank on a non-travelling Tiny House. Thus, I had to do a somewhat unconventional hook up. Never having dealt with the RV side of plumbing I was concern I might order incorrect parts.

This was a hard one to find on the net. But it proved to be the perfect fit for this old 1971 prowler camper.

Well I can't say they'll fit because our trailer is already closed up and winterized for the season... The tether was missing from the camper sewer cap I ordered. I was pleased that I was able to promptly reach a live customer support person by phone. When I informed etrailer representative Kaleb about the missing tether, he discovered tethers were missing from their entire warehouse inventory of sewer caps. I was assured the missing tether would be sent to me by etrailer's manufacturer, but have not received one yet.

My package of fittings arrived right on time and were put to use immediately when I took them to our local building supply to verify piping sizes and temporarily assemble and measure a mockup of our drain line. It was a great help to do that, as I discovered that hard-plumbing the sewer line was a bad idea. Instead, a flexible/removable joint was added close to the "L" adapter to the septic inlet, which will allow for removal of the line in winter and ease repair efforts in case the line gets plugged or is damaged.
Nice tight fit with 4 locking points instead of 2 on my original cap. The grab handle makes it easy to grasp with a closed fist and use whole fist to turn instead of grasping the outside of the cap.
