Hi. Matt with etrailer. If you're looking for a way to keep your garage and your vehicle clean, but you don't wanna sacrifice a lot of your floor space for one of those larger shop vacs, then the InterVac GarageVac wall-mounted vacuum cleaner is gonna be a great option for you. Now, you can get this in a couple of different options. There is gonna be the regular one and then there's gonna be the remote option, and you can get either one of those in white or black. Really the only difference between the two is that the remote one is gonna have a button on the handle (vacuum droning) that you can turn it on directly from there.
But other than that, they're gonna be the exact same. With these being wall-mounted, they're gonna be very recessed, doesn't take up a lot of space either. And if you have any type of cabinetry that's over here on the side, this can even sit above there. Now, this is gonna use your wall outlets for power, but what I like about this is it comes with a hose that's gonna have a maximum reach of 35 feet. So if you have a two-car garage, this is going to have plenty of length to reach those cars.
But let me show it off now. All right, so right now I'm just gonna use the hose attachment that comes with it. You will have a couple of other attachments, which we'll talk about later on. But let's check it out real quick. So again, remote one, it's gonna have that button.
(vacuum droning) Now, even in those hard to reach areas, this is grabbing just fine, 'cause it is a little bit longer. And it has that angle to it at the very end. All right, we got this side to a pretty good spot. So I'll just go around, I'll throw off a little bit since this does have a lot of length, I'll just go around the car completely. Now, something I do wanna note is I wouldn't recommend using this with any type of wet material.
So if there's a lot of mud and water around, I wouldn't recommend it for that 'cause that could kind of damage it. It's not really designed for that. Another thing too is this is gonna be designed to hold up to a gallon of debris in there. So if you have a couple of cars, do a little bit of cleanup outside, you'll probably fill it up. So what I would recommend doing is check out one of our kits. It'll come with a couple of extra replacement bags and another filter. So you can throw that in there. And you're gonna get a couple of other attachments that come with your kit. So you just don't have to use this one, you can also grab this additional piece here. I like this one 'cause it's gonna have this more narrow tip to it. Great for getting into those really tight spaces. (vacuum droning) I can really see this one, if you have any type of spot in between the seats for your car, that's where this is really gonna come into hand, or any type of corner areas. Another one that you're gonna get with this kit is gonna be this more flexible attachment, it's very much like the one we had prior, but if there's any curved areas, especially underneath your seats (vacuum droning) that are gonna be very hard to reach. We need to manipulate it a little bit as you're using it. That's where I also see this coming into hand. I will say the power of this one feels a little bit less compared to the other ones, but it's also 'cause we have this additional hole for the side of it if it gets pushed in a spot like this. And then we're gonna have two brushes, gonna be very similar. This one has more of an opening in the center. This one's gonna be a little bit more heavy-duty with the bristles. So if you need to brush something out a little bit as you're vacuuming up, this is perfect, especially for cars where you have some carpet, you need to break something up some. (vacuum droning) That's where I really like this one. And I think if you need something a little bit more heavy-duty or just a different shape in general, that's where I think this is gonna come into play. Now, I will say the bristle on the one with more do feel a little bit more soft since these are shorter bristles, so they're gonna feel more stiff in comparison. So if I grab it like this, it's gonna be a little bit odd. So I might have to even flip it 180 degrees, and I want something a little bit more flat like that. (vacuum droning) And then we're gonna have one last attachment that comes with it. This is gonna actually mount to the wall itself. It has its own mounting location, so that's pretty nice. Lot larger and it just goes on the very end. Okay, last few we had. You can tell this is gonna give us a lot more reach. So if you have something on the ground itself, you can use this for that instead, clean up anything there. It's gonna have some bristles to kind of break anything up as well. But we can even extend this out. The way we're gonna do that is it's gonna be a tab here, put your thumb on there, extends out. So this will make it much easier to use, clean something up. And I think even for your car too, if you don't wanna bend over for those hard to read spots, that's where this comes into play too. So I wanted to do a little strength test for us. So what I did was get some small pebbles, medium sized pebbles going up, getting to this larger rock. Now, I doubt I'm gonna be able to pick up that rock. This is just to see how strong the suction is on this. Pebbles are gonna be something that's pretty common in your garage, most places. So let's test it out. So starting with the smallest ones. (vacuum droning) That sucked up pretty easy. You can see it kind of moving around. Very well. Let's go up a size. That actually kind of surprised me a little bit. That moved pretty easy. That actually picked it up. The nozzle is just too small where they're coming through, let's see if it at least even moves this large rock. It's not moving it when I'm hovering over it, but when I get really close to just touching it, it picks it up, no problem. And we just finished vacuuming everything up. So we're looking a lot cleaner inside of here. And honestly it was pretty easy to do. And now we're gonna talk about what it's gonna be like to actually change out the bag. The way we access that bag is gonna be right here. You have a tab, you just push up on it, and that's we gonna drop this. Now, I will say our bag is maybe a little bit under half full, so I probably wouldn't wanna change it out quite yet. But I pull on here, you'll see we have this kind of rubber seam that's grabbing onto it, we'll just completely pull that off when we need to. And we have the new bag. That's why I do recommend having that other kit that we do have here to replace this bag with. And once you're ready for that, push it into place, and then it'll be good to go. You're putting it back in inside of here, just like that. Now, when it actually comes to installing it, it's actually really easy, and I can explain it to you real quick. All you gotta do is drill four bolts into your wall, and it's gonna depend on what type of wall you have. Make sure you reference your instructions for that. And really instructions even come with a piece of paper that you can throw up here that'll give you the exact dimensions for how far away they are. Mark those out, put those screws in the wall. And you have four mounting locations right here. And that'll basically just line up with those and slot into place. So overall, I do think this would be a great option for anyone who's primarily using it in your one to two-car garages for either your vehicles or if you have a little workstation and you need to suck up some sawdust. Great for that too. Now, I don't think this is gonna make a great shop vac where you're gonna be going over some really heavy-duty areas. It's gonna have a lot of spillage, some wet stuff to 'em, and you need to store a lot in it. I think you're better off just going with a regular shop bag. But if you need something that's gonna save you room for those lighter occasions, then I think this is gonna be a great option for you.
