We upgraded to the watch dog because of all the feedback we had seen. We love the bluetooth capability and also because it has a cover to protect the cord hookup. We have always used a surge protector but this seems to be a big upgrade as far as we are concerned. Thank you etrailer.

I haven’t used the product yet but I’m sure based on the reviews and videos it’s going to be great. Only downside was that it arrived in the original package (no second box). The only thing holding the box closed were two Velcro tabs. Product was shipped by postal service states away from my location and it is unknown if it was opened, if it fell out of the package or if anything is missing (an instruction packet was in the box).
It’s a little bulky for my small outside storage compartment, but with that said it offers by far the most comprehensive electrical protection for your rig. I’m not afraid to plug into even the most scary looking electrical pedestal.
First time out of the Campground and using my watchdog, it performed as expected.

Its been a year since purchasing the Watchdog 30 Amp surge protector and we have had several instances where it alerted me to over current or bad wiring in the pedestal that required the park to come out and repair it before it could be used. The Bluetooth connection is great to have and we have it connected to our WIFI so when Im away from the RV, I can monitor the system remotely. I would never hook to electrical without it.
