Video Transcript for A Closer Look at the Quick Roof Repair Tape for RV Roofs

Ellen: Hey, everybody. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com and we're taking a quick look at the RV roof repair tape. This gives you a great way to repair any kind of tears or rips in your roof membrane, or maybe an area where you've just installed some other kind of equipment, skylight, something like that, windows, awnings, all kinds of different stuff. The nice thing about this tape is that it's going to adhere to just about any kind of surface. So, it really is very versatile as far as what you can attach it to. It's very sticky and should be pretty easy to get installed.

You just want to be sure that wherever you're putting it is free of any kind of dirt, debris or any kind of oily residue. That's going to make it easy to get this in place, to make sure that it gets a good adhesion to that surface.So, you can just put it around any kind of area. Maybe there's some puncture holes from putting in another piece of equipment, again, like a skylight or something else like that. So, this is going to allow you to patch up that area and make sure that there's no water that's going to get in and cause any leaks on your RV. I'm just going to pull this out a little bit.

You can kind of see that adhesive has kind of seeped through on the edges. So, it gives you an idea of how sticky this stuff really is. This is the tan material, so it should match up with a roof membrane or any kind of material that's the same color. So it's close to a skin tone. Almost reminds me of a Barbie skin tone, that tan color.The other nice thing about this tape is that it won't harden, crack or shrink, and you can use this in really extreme temperatures.

You can install it in temperatures as low as -25 degrees Fahrenheit, and it will stay sticky and adhere down to -70 degrees Fahrenheit. So, it really can withstand the cold weather pretty well. As far as getting it installed, again, you just want to make sure you have that area nice and clean. Cut as much as you need to length, pull off the backing and press it into place. It might not be a bad idea to get a little roller to make sure that you get out all of the air pockets to make sure that it adheres really nicely.You can use this for all kinds of different stuff in your RV, slide outs, windows.

You can even use it for holding tanks, tents, all kinds of good stuff. It measures about six inches wide and about 25 feet long, so it should be plenty to do just about anything that you would need.
