Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Flare-It PEX female adapter fitting. This is going to connect your pipes and hoses in your RV freshwater plumbing system, whether you're needing to repair leaky connections or installing a new line. This will work with your PEX pipes, the old gray PV pipes as well as the polyvinyl tubing. So our three-quarter inch FPT or female pipe thread connection is gonna fit your hoses or tubes with a three quarter inch MPT or male pipe thread fitting. And so you'll get that fit in place.
The other end, we're gonna have a three quarter inch barbed connection that's gonna fit your pipes and hoses with a three quarter inch inner diameter. Having that barbed connection with the compression end is going to mean that you'll be able to install this without having to use any tools and it's gonna provide a nice secure fit for you. So basically the way this is gonna work, you'll slide that connection, that compression end over your pipe and then you'll get that barbed end into your pipe. Now that type, that might take a little bit of doing, you might have to wiggle it back and forth and apply quite a bit of pressure to get that to slide in place. But then once that's in, you'll bring that compression end back down and then thread it in place, tightening that down.
That connection is gonna be very secure for you. I tried it out myself on a a scrap piece of pipe the other night and I was super impressed at how secure that fitting was. While you can install it by hand, get that tightened down, it's gonna take some effort to get that to come off. I actually had to use some vice grips to get that to come off because it had basically threaded the pipe itself. So it is gonna create a nice secure fitting for you.
The one thing I will caution is that if you are working in a confined space, inside a cabinet or something like that, it might be kind of difficult to get that fitting pushed into your pipe. So if possible, it might be better to do that before you get down into that confined space. Try and get that connection made there and then get into your space. But a really great way of making a nice secure connection and giving you that three quarter inch FPT connection for your hoses and tubes. This is constructed of a polyoxymethylene construction so it is gonna be very durable and resistant to stress cracking so it will hold up well for you.
So if you are needing to again, either repair some leaky connections or install new lines in your RV's freshwater plumbing system, this is gonna be a great option for you. This is just one of the many options of connection fittings that we have here at etrailer.com. So if you're going through your project and you need an elbow fitting or a way to connect two three quarter inch inner diameter hoses, we've got different options available for you. So make sure you're getting all the connections that you need. And that completes our look for today. Again, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
Had to wait for the ordered part to be in stock. However, that is not the fault of the supplier. Part was then shipped promptly. Installed same. Satisfied with the result.
Well made and easy to use. Unfortunately not the part I needed for my camper, but fixed my neighbors so all good.
Work for pex
Works perfectly with the pex plumbing in my RV camper.
