Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this GE Appliances 13,500-BTU Black Deluxe RV Air Conditioner. Now, this is going to be a great option for you to consider if you're looking to upgrade or add an air conditioner on your RV's ducted or ductless system in your small to medium-sized camper, and this 13,500-BTU per hour air conditioner is going to cool down the inside of your RV evenly, and it's going to be able to handle harsh road conditions, and all from a brand that you know and trust. Now, this uses the more energy-efficient R-32 refrigerant, which is going to meet the 2025 EPA regulations, so that being the case, this is not going to be backwards-compatible with any air conditioner system from 2024 and earlier. So, this is gonna be just for the air conditioner unit only. You will need to get a compatible or have a compatible air-distribution box, control box and thermostat, and again, all that needs to be compliant with the R-32 refrigerant.
If you are looking for the complete system, we do carry those from GE here at etrailer.com, and you can find them in here on our website. This does not include any hardware. Those bolts typically come with the air-distribution box, so just be aware of that. Again, this is just gonna be for the air conditioner unit itself. Looking at some dimensions, the overall length is gonna be 32 13/16-inches long, the overall width, 26 1/8-inches wide, the overall height, 13 15/16-inches tall.
This weighs a little under 80 pounds, and this is going to fit roofs from two to six-inches thick, with an opening size of 14 3/8-inches long by 14 3/8-inches wide. And this is going to run relatively quiet for you because the motor has sound-dampening grommets to help reduce that annoying humming and vibration, and this is going to be a pretty easy swap for most RVs. This is going to seamlessly install over your roof's preexisting roof vent opening, and there are foam pads at the bottom, and of course, the gasket there at that opening there, so that's gonna do a great job of not only supporting the AC unit on your roof, but to keep down that vibration in between the AC unit and the roof of your camper. This has been built tough for the road. This is constructive high-grade materials that are going to withstand extreme UV rays and that constant vibration that it's going to endure going down the road.
And this does feature this black, hard, automotive-grade polymer shroud. That's gonna do a great job of protecting the internal components from water and debris, and it can be easily removed if you need to do any cleaning or maintenance. Four Phillips-head screws secure it, so it's gonna be very easy to remove and replace. This does include a wiring harness, and I thought it'd be easier just to pop a picture up there on your screen showing you what the plugs look like. And it is important to know that you should keep the rear of this air conditioner unit at least 18 inches away from any obstructions for proper airflow.
And this is a trusted brand, obviously, GE, it's a reliable name that you know and trust, especially for appliances in your home, so you're gonna be bringing that same trust and reliability into your RV with this air conditioner. Now, we do have this available also with a white cover if you're interested in that, and again, other variations of this air conditioner as well. So, whether you're looking for just the air conditioner or a complete system, you're gonna be able to find that here at etrailer.com, and if you do decide to pick this up, we would love to hear back from you regarding your experience, regarding installation and operation. So, drop a comment or a review on this product page, let us know what you think and how you like it, and send us some photos of your setup as well, we'd love to see it. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that our brief time together was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me.
