Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look, this Coleman Mach Roughneck Mach 15, 15,000 DTU RV air Conditioner in this textured black shroud. Now at 15,000 BTU, this is going to give you about 10 to 12% more cooling power than your typical 13,500 BTU RV air conditioner, which is going to be helpful in those larger RVs. Think about 30 feet long and longer, especially if it has slide outs or in those hot, humid climates where that extra capacity is gonna help keep your RV more comfortable. Now this is a roughneck series and this is specifically designed for those harsher environments. So if you travel in areas with extreme heat, lots of dust or rugged terrain, this unit is made to hold up better than a standard RV air conditioner.
And this has a sturdier build and reinforced components, so it's not gonna get rattled apart as easily on those bumpy back roads. For instance, this has an internal brace plate assembly that's going to secure the condenser coil and compressor from high vibrations and a welded wire compressor clamp that's going to limit the motion of the compressor. Now, just giving you some overall measurements, just rough measurements to kind of give you an idea of the size. The overall length from end to end, about 38." The overall width about 26 to 27" wide. And then this is a medium profile air conditioner.
So the overall height's gonna be close to 14." This is going to fit over those standard RV rooftop openings of 14 1/4" by 14 1/4," and this weighs about 85 pounds. Now this is a rooftop AC unit only and it is going to be compatible with both ducted and ductless systems. And it's gonna be the air distribution box that's going to determine whether that cooled air gets distributed through your vents, which would be abducted system or just plunges straight down, that would be a non-inducted system. So you will need to pair this with a compatible Coleman Mach air distribution box and thermostat to complete your cooling setup. So this unit is not gonna be compatible with any AC system from 2024 and earlier because this uses the new R32 refrigerant so that that refrigerant meets the 2025 EPA standards.
So if you currently have an air distribution box or thermostat or any other component from 2024 or earlier, it's not gonna be compatible with this. You will need to pick up a compatible Coleman mach air distribution box and thermostat if your system needs that thermostat. So all that to say, we do have complete kits available here at etrailer.com with this unit. So if you're looking for this unit with the appropriate air distribution box, whether that's gonna be ducted or ductless, take a look at the other offerings that we have here at etrailer.com or better yet, give us a call. We wanna do, we wanna be sure that you're getting exactly what you want and need.
This streamlined medium profile shroud is gonna help reduce drag, and this does have a textured black finish. So this isn't just really for aesthetics, but it is practical and that that texture is gonna help hide scratches and scuffs better than those smoother surfaces. If you notice it, it does it. It's not like rigid, it's not terribly hard. It does have a little bit of give to it. So that's good in my opinion because I think it's gonna be more impact resistant. Those harder ones if they get a good knock on 'em, sometimes they can fracture or crack. I don't think that's gonna be the case with this cover. So all in all, I think it's gonna be good protection for those internal components. Wiring harness is included. Lemme just show you that real quick. And this plug will just drop through the opening in your roof and plug into your air distribution box. But like I said, if you have any other questions about the other kits that we carry, don't hesitate to reach back out to us. We do wanna make sure that you're getting the AC unit and the appropriate components that's gonna work best for your RV or camper. Well, that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
