This Advent Air AC unit lets you replace an old or broken air conditioner on your RV or camper. It works with your existing Advent Air or Dometic air distribution box, and it is compatible with Coleman Mach or Carrier setups if used with an adapter wiring kit (ACCOLKIT, ACCARKIT - sold separately). The AC has a powerful fan and motor that provides a steady stream of air to efficiently cool the inside of your RV on a hot or muggy day. And everything you need in order to replace or add an AC unit is included, which makes installation simple and easy.

Simple Installation

Because your RV is likely already prepped and pre-wired for an AC unit, installation is simple and easy. Most AC units, including this one, are designed to fit an opening that measures 14-1/4" x 14-1/4". Depending on your roof setup, you may need to do minimal alterations. If the opening is larger than 14-3/8" x 14-3/8", you will need to install spacers between the sides of the unit and the opening's edges. If the opening is smaller than 14-1/8" x 14-1/8", you will need to enlarge the hole to fit the unit snugly inside the opening.

Advent Air AC Collapsible Gasket and Foam Pads

On the bottom of the AC, there's a thick, collapsible gasket with 6 noise-reducing foam pads. This provides support between the RV roof and AC and seals the opening to prevent water and outside air from leaking in. Because of this, the use of fresh sealant isn't needed. Once installed, the hard plastic cover on the AC can easily be removed for maintenance and cleaning.

And in order to fully complete installation, this AC needs to be paired with your existing Advent Air, Dometic, Coleman Mach, or Carrier air distribution box and thermostat. Please note that an adapter wiring kit (sold separately) is needed if you are replacing a Coleman Mach or Carrier air conditioner.

Additional Accessories

Additional accessories can be purchased separately to improve the performance of your Advent Air AC unit. The start capacitor (ACMSCKIT) improves the performance of your AC by using stored energy to jumpstart it. And the electric heat strip (ACMHD) removes the chill on cold or frosty mornings in your RV, ensuring you stay comfortable. Please note that the heat strip will only work on Advent Air AC units.

The first unit that I got failed within two weeks of service So far this new unit is working. The staff at etrailer has been great to deal with they were able to get this new unit shipped ASAP If I wasn't working though warranty with ASA I don't believe I would have purchased another Advent. So far the process with ASA has not been bad three phone calls and hold time of only about an hour and a half and countless emails and I'm thankful that I was able to get in contact with a person that has been a lot of help. So we will see if I get reimbursed for the falty unit.

by:

George this was an excellent replacement for our original ac unit. We don't use it much but it works when we need it. We would definitely buy another when the time comes. Etrailer was helpful in our decision.
Cheers

by:

Shipping was free and fast , ac arrived in great condition will continue to order from etrailer.com and tracking was simple thank you all for your hard work installed it on my rv and works great.

by:

Very easy install. Took less than 1 hour with 3 people and a tractor. Used the tractor to lift the new unit to the roof and haul out the old unit (cause I’m lazy). 2 guys on the roof one guy inside working the 4 bolts that hold it all together. Exact plug and play for the old ‘07 dometic duo therm.
New unit has been running for 3 days now in 95 degrees Heat and it’s wonderful

by:

First off Amy with customer service was great to deal with the unit was easy to install and works great after my 2 year old dometic died on us I called etrailer and asked about a direct replacement for my dometic duotherm they recommended this one and so far it works great and has a 2 year warranty.

by:

Great personal service, delivery ahead of schedule and good product.

by:

We ordered the air conditioner for a 2015 Keystone Bullet and it has worked great.

by:

I've been extremely pleased with this 15k BTU unit. I replaced two Mach units with two of these, and they've run strong and hard under some pretty significant Arizona heat. You can't beat the price at all. Super easy change-out. Absolutely 10/10 would recommend.

by:

Got lost on the way, shipping companies fault, no blame to etrailer.

Arrived in good condition and blowers cold air!

by:

This unit replaced our Dometic A/C with the CCC2 thermostat. The Advent harness plunged directly into the power supply. The only thing I did extra was took off the old outside temp sensor on the Dometic and placed it on the Advent unit. We were receiving an E4 error on the thermostat until I did that. So far so good. 90deg outside and we keep it at 75 with no problems. Only time will tell.

by:

The product was damaged upon arrival so I called etrailer & they sent me another unit no questions asked !

by:

Just what I needed and got it to me in time to save our weeklong camping trip. Nothing but great things to say about this experience.

by:

Did a great job sending Ac units. Well packed and fast shipment

by:

Dependable

by:

Was an easy replacement from the old one to the new one.

by:

Great communication from start to finish, the AC unit arrive every fast

  • Air Conditioner Replacement For Coleman Mach 8 in RV
You can replace your Coleman Mach 8 air conditioners, and all you'll need are the AC units along with an adapter that will plug into your existing wiring. You can choose from either White or Black for the AC; here are the part numbers for those units, along with the adapter: - Black: Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM150B - White: Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM150 - Coleman Mach Adapter Wiring Kit for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners # ACCOLKIT

  • Powering the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner
Attempting to operating the 15,000 Btu Advent Air RV Air Conditioner, # ACM150B on a 15 amp outlet is not advisable. The unit will draw about 15 amps while operating and likely draw greater than that for start up it would also prevent any other items from being operated on the same circuit, even if it did not trip the breaker during start up. It is always advisable to connect the RV's AC unit directly to the distribution panel on its own breaker.

  • Replacing 15000 BTU Dometic AC Unit With Advent Air RV AC
I recommend the Advent Air RV Air Conditioner - 15,000 Btu - Black # ACM150B. It will replace your Dometic ac unit and works with a ducted system. It will work with your current Dometic components like the wall thermostat. It is 31-3/16 inches long x 24-7/8 inches wide and 12-13/16 inches tall.

  • Where To Check When Your Rooftop AC Unit Is Leaking Water Inside Of Your RV
I recommend removing the shroud of your Advent Air RV Air Conditioner # ACM150B and just checking to make sure the drip pan drain holes aren't being blocked by anything so that the water drains out on the roof instead of inside of your trailer. It's not unheard of but it really shouldn't be dripping that much inside of your trailer. I also recommend checking the gaskets on the unit, if you dragged them across the roof or didn't tighten the units down enough to compress the gasket it could...

  • How To Replace A Dometic AC Rooftop Unit With The Advent Air AC Rooftop Unit
The controller for your unit should be mounted separately to the air distribution box. It's hard to tell from the pictures you sent but if the wiring diagram you sent is correct for your unit then it's also showing it as a separate part from the rooftop unit. The controller should have a connector sticking out of it like I have pictured below. Since your picture of the old rooftop unit has a bare wires I'm assuming they cut the connector off and just hardwired it, which is ok but a bit...

However, I recommend going with the # ACCOL150 or # ACCOL150B as these are the same units with an added start capacitor that helps to jumpstart the AC when camp power or generator power isn't enough.
