Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Ventline Polar White replacement handle. This is going to replace a lost or broken handle on your Ventline Vanair RV roof vent, specifically model VP-543. And I have that model number there for you on your screen as well. So this is going to work with your Vanair RV roof vent for motor homes and enclosed trailers.

And as you know, the handle opens and closes the dome on this vent. And on your screen, I've included a diagram showing you where this goes in regards to the placement with that vent. So it's going to be a very easy installation, and it includes everything that you see here. You're gonna get this one polar white handle and the two mounting screws. And this handle is going to be exactly like the one that you're needing to replace.

This is the direct replacement from Ventline. So you can trust that it's going to fit right in place of the original. You're not gonna have to worry about compatibility issues, fitment issues, or anything like that. So if you're needing to replace the handle on your Vanair RV roof vent model VP-543 for motor homes and enclosed trailers, this is going to be exactly what you need. The replacement part handle for exhaust fan continues to function without incident. Have noticed that it does flex upon opening and closing. A slow and even pressure on the handle reduces the flexing action. Again, too much rapid force either up or down will cause this handle to break.

It been tough finding replacement screens and handles because everyone is out of stock. Although, etrailer was out of stock also they did give me an option if I would want to wait until parts arrived. George and Becky have kept me up to date and I have received a partial order. The handle should be arriving later but at least I know we will have them when we need. Thank you for keeping us up to date with the progress of our order.

After one year the handle is working great. It was installed to replace a cracked handle and was a direct replacement. We are full time RVers so this fan vent handle gets used a lot. Still like new.

No fault of etrailer but these handles needs to be more of a robust design as they will flex in the center and break. You just have to make sure to put pressure on the ends of the handle. The original was the same. Overall satisfaction of etrailer’s performance is what I have rated. Need to get internet delivery date the same as what’s reality.

    Hi Kris, Yes, based on everything I'm seeing, I am confident that the BVA0207-05 is the correct replacement for your PTVA207 handle. The biggest clue is actually something you spotted yourself. The product photo for the BVA0207-05 clearly shows "PTVA207" molded into the handle, even though the current catalog part number is listed as BVA0207-05. My take is that PTVA207 is the molded identifier on the handle itself, while part # BVA0207-05 is the replacement part number used for ordering....

  • Replacing Handle of a VanAir Vent part # VP-543SP
    The replacement handle for the VanAir Vent part # VP-543SP that you referenced is the part # BVA0207-05. I attached a diagram that points out where the components of the replacement handle are in relation to the vent. Looks like you would need to pull the handle down far enough to allow access to the screws on either side of the handle. If you cannot pull the handle down far enough to give you access to the screws you would need to remove the vent so that you can get to them.
