Airflow makes or breaks how your ProMaster feels inside. Without it, the space can feel closed in and stuffy. Adding this premium awning window turns that solid panel into a screened, tinted opening that tilts outward to bring in air.
This awning window replaces the fixed glass panel on your Ram ProMaster, whether it is in the sliding door or forward side position. The glass is hinged at the top and tilts outward from the bottom on struts, turning that sealed section into a controlled vent. When you're parked, sleeping inside, or working out of the van, that opening lets air move through the cabin instead of leaving the panel closed off.
With the glass tilted out, the mesh screen keeps insects from entering through the opening so the van can vent overnight or at camp. The pleated shade gives you a way to cover the window when you're sleeping inside or leaving tools and gear in the van. You can use the screen and shade together, separately, or retract both for a clear view.
The ProMaster panels sit at eye level from outside and create a direct view into the cargo area. The 17% gray tint limits how much someone can see inside while still allowing visibility out. It also blocks 83% of UV rays, reducing sun exposure through that section of glass.
Cutting into a ProMaster panel is permanent. The frame has to match the factory contour so the urethane seals evenly against the body. This window follows the original stamping profile, so when it is set into place, the edge matches the panel you just opened up.
After the opening is cut, a continuous bead of automotive urethane is applied around the perimeter. When the window is set into place, that urethane bonds the frame to the body panel and forms the seal that keeps water from entering the wall cavity. This bond holds the window in place and creates the weather barrier so you can vent the van through the sliding door without letting water into the interior.

Hi everyone, Steve here with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at our Van Windows Direct premium crank-out awning window for a 2014 through current year Ram ProMaster, any wheel base. That being said, make sure you're checking the Fit Guide, be sure you're getting the right parts the very first time. That way, you're getting everything you want the first time and not the returning thing. So, as I just said, this is gonna be a nice open option for you. This is gonna be a crank-out awning window.
As far as the crank-out part, you're not really cranking it per se. You're literally just kind of opening the latches here, two on the bottom, two on the sides, and pushing it open. And at that point, the two gas struts, as you can see one on that side, one on my side, are gonna hold it. At pretty much whatever angle you decide to set it at, it's gonna be nice and open. Then, you can simply close that back up with the included latches here on the inside, one here, one over there, two on the bottom, and that'll allow you to open it.
Now, you also have a built in screen mesh here on the inside that's gonna let the air in, keep the bugs out. And if you heard it, there's a magnet that goes across the full top of this. Now, I can pull down this privacy screen one. And again, there are magnets in between them. Very nice feature, I like it, it makes it pretty easy.
As far as the glass itself, you can see through here, it's got a 17% tint. So, that privacy tint's gonna be great at keeping people from seeing in. It's gonna reduce the glare coming in as well, but it's gonna block 83% of those UV rays, so you don't have to worry about getting too hot inside the van and those kind of things. So this glass, again, is a safety tempered glass. So it meets all DOT and SAE Standards for Safety.
And this window will follow the contour of that ProMaster. So, it's gonna give you an OE-style appearance, an OE fitment. The installation, if you wanna tackle it yourself, you will just basically cut a hole in the van where this window goes. And then, you're gonna need some automotive-grade urethane sold separately. I recommend the one there on the left. That's the one for large windows where you get two tubes. You got some primers, securing tape, caulk gun if you need it, and some foam seal tape as well if you need it. All this is sold separately. You're also gonna need, that's not included that we don't carry at this time, maybe like a jigsaw or something like that with a metal blade, some sandpaper to sand down the rough edges, those kind of things.
