AJ: What's up everybody, it's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're going to be checking out this plastic siding cover for your RV screen doors or P style screen doors. We have an old one on here and it's going to work a lot like that. So that's good, you can use it as a handle to help close the door when it's open, or if your screen door is attached to your main door, you can use it to cover that up, that way when the door is open and exposed to the elements it's not going to cause any problems. This is out of sight, out of mind. Same thing if the door is closed, you wanted to keep your kiddos away from it, just close that they won't see it there, they won't mess with the door.
Let's check it out.It's a pretty easy installation too. So we'll just go ahead and pop the old one out and put our new one in. I'm going to set the new one aside here for a second. You don't need any tools, you just need to push up and see how it's got a little bit of movement in the tracks there, just push it up and kind of pull one side out and then it comes right out. It's going to be a really easy replacement from here, we're just going to repeat our steps just in reverse.We're going to put it up there in that first groove here closest one to us right now.
I'm going to do it in the middle because it felt like the corner is going to fight us here so it's easier to push it in in the middle in the center. So just push up on it a little bit, make sure it gets in that track underneath. Went a little past it so I just push back on it, falls right in the track. It's that easy, now it easily will slide back and forth just like our old one did.It really is that simple. Now if your RV door looks a little bit different and you're going to match a different color, they do come in smoke, which is kind of a clear gray one you can see through, there's a brown one, then there's an off white one called ivory.
So if any of those colors match your door, those are probably the ones to go with. Thanks for hanging out, I hope this helps.

This screen door sliding access panel arrived as advertised and functions well. We've had it on our RV for about a year now and it gets lots of use. It's durable and has not cracked, faded or discolored.

The slider is 1/8 inch too large. This is a replacement part so I thought it would be a perfect fit.

The product is great Not a problem at all
Product exactly as advertised. Ordering process was simple. Shipping was timely.
I hate to burst your bubble, but the slide does not quite fit. It hits the door handle about 3/4 inch before it fully closes. It fits the pattern of replacing parts on RVs. Existing parts don’t generally have a part number or the manufacture names on them and the replacement part descriptions are written by sales/marketing people, not people who want to provide detailed information about the replacement part. Therefore, a great fit of replacement parts in the RV restoration field is tough to impossible.
It’s the wrong part, needs to be an 1 1/2” in depth.
