Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna take a look at this replacement upright leg for the TracRac SR and T-Rac Pro2 ladder racks. Now, this is going to replace one upright leg for the TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack for full size pickups, and then the T-Rac Pro2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack for compact pickups, and then the T-Rac Pro2 Truck Bed Ladder Rack for Toyota Tacoma, and then the retrofit for TracRac G2 Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Racks and T-Rac G2 Fixed Mount Ladder Racks. As you can see there on your screen, I do have all of the model numbers for the racks that this is going to fit. And this features a powder coated aluminum construction, so this is durable, it's corrosion resistant. This is directly from Thule, so this is going to be just like the one that you are needing to replace. And this does include the threaded inserts for the corner braces.
Now, the corner braces do not come with this, that would be a separate purchase, so if you are in need of those, I am including our item number for those replacement corner braces on your screen, and you can just take that item number and put it in the search field of our website, and it will take you to those braces. Now, let me see if I can balance this here real quick and retrieve my tape measure, just give you the overall height. And so, as you can see there, we are sitting right at 24 5/8 inches tall overall. Had a question about an order
called the 800# and spoke to Greg S and issue resolved in about a minute.
They do not work for a Ford F450, cantilever has only a 1/4 clearance to cab roof, when you enter this truck it says it fits. Now I have to disassemble it with all my new hardware I just put together. I’m not happy.
This "Upright Leg" for the TracRac SR and T-Rac Pro2 Fits the older TracRac G2 directly. It is NOT, however, an exact copy.
TracRac was sold to Thule and at some point they changed the rack system to include additional support. This replacement piece, TA7521902002, has all the exact same overall dimensions as the original 01-30001 "ASM, MODULAR UPRIGHT, T-RAC", but some bolt hole locations have moved.
First, there is an additional threaded hole enabling the installation of the additional support bracket (not needed with older G2 rack). Second, the side cleat location is moved upward about two inches. This relocation really doesn't affect anything except that it is no longer uniform with the remaining 3 uprights. These changes do NOT affect your ability to swap out the old for this new replacement. See photos for clarification.
While it would be be nice to have an exact replacement, I understand the need to streamline manufacturing and at least do appreciate that Thule/TracRac made the new piece backward compatible - if not exactly the same.
What I can also say is that etrailer had the best price I could find and shipped it relatively quickly.

original rack bought in 2008 ,,, only need replacement parts this year. i'm a carpenter 40 yrs ... best racks ever... light weight, don't carry more than 300lbs ish on racs.
also surf, stand-up paddle, & one man outrigger canoe paddle ... fishing gear etc on top coolers & dog in the bed. Awsome can do racs ! All replacement parts fit !
