Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and today we're taking a look at the replacement reed switch. This is going to work with your Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System. And this is going to be the item to send the signal from our brake actuator to our indicator light that we have knotted up. So it helps us to see whenever the brakes are being depressed in our towed vehicle, while we're out on the road, that indicator light gives us that visual cue that everything's working properly. Or if something is going wrong, and there's a solid connection or there's a solid light on all the time, we'll know something's wrong.

And vice versa, if there's no light at all, we'll also know something is wrong. So this is the portion that is going to actually give us that signal to go to the light.So we'll have three wires to connect the black wire, brown wire and blue. This end actually goes onto your actuator. There's a little itty bitty tiny screw that you want to make sure that you tighten down in the proper place, whenever you have it in the right alignment. That way it's going to stay in place.

The cable measures about 18 inches from the end of the sensor to the ends of those wires, just for reference.So that's pretty much all there is to it for our replacement reed switch for the Demco Air Force One Supplemental Braking System.
