Today we're taking a look at the replacement nylon cap for hitch balls. This unit replaces the nylon cap for your 2-inch diameter greaseless hitch ball that came on your Andersen ball mount. The nylon cap keeps the trailer coupler from binding and kinking when connected to the hitch ball and when you're turning. So when that is pivoting on the ball, this allows for nice, easy rotation. The greaseless design does not require the use of any lubricants. It's a simple, snap-on installation.
It is a direct replacement from the original manufacturer. That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement nylon cap for hitch balls.

It fit perfectly
Received the part in good order. Went to install it on the ball and it wouldn't snap in place The original cap didn't either and I finally lost it. This part and the original cap fits over the ball but I'm afraid that if I leave it there it will come off due to road vibration. It'll work with the trailer hitched and since I'm away from home travelling I'm stuck with the issue. It's a good idea but all I've had is issues with keeping the cap in place without the trailer being attached.
Ordered this greaseless ball as a back-up. But the current one is so durable I have yet to need it! This is a great product.
It doesn"t fit, too loose. It won't snap on the metal component. the serial numbers seem to be the same. It seems like it would fit a 2 1/8 inch ball

ive ruined countless articles of clothing from getting the hitch grease on them. The greaseless hitch is fantastic. I've towed our boat well over 5,000 miles over 8years and the only issue I've had is the need to replace the nylon cap when they fall off. These replacement caps are oem original and fit right on the hitch ball. Easy to use

I use my trailer hitch a lot and this replacement nylon head makes it like new again. Easy to remove old head and snap new one on.
What can I say, this is a replacement cap for the greaseless hardball hitch ball in case the original wears out. Assume will work as well?
Couldn’t get the nylon cap to stay on the hitch ball. I matched the sizes. Looks like a durable product if it worked.
Direct replacement for one that somehow disappeared. Surprisingly, Andersen doesn't even list this part on their site. But, thanks to etrailer.com I'm now back in business. And definitely worth the price. Only other place I found was someone gouging it online for >$30.
Doesn’t fit my 2” ball. The 2 5/16” on the other side fit great after heating and pressing on like instructions show. I am reaching out to Andersen to see if there is another cap I can try.

The manufacturer stood behind the product all the way. The replacement caps worked great on the new balls.
Product was as desribed was a perfect match fast service from etrailer will buy from them again.
Order was originally in error but etrailer corrected the error and went above and beyond in correcting the problem.
These are cheap replacement non-grease caps for ones that were rubbed off from hitting the road due to clearance issues.
