Ellen: Hi, everyone. I'm Ellen here etrailer.com, and today we're taking a quick look at the K-Source replacement side mirror. This is going to be a direct replacement for your vehicle. This is going to fit the 2017 through 2019 Toyota Highlander, and this is going to be a powered mirror. So we'll have our electrical connection there to match up with our original wiring. And then this is going to mount in exactly the same place as our old mirror.
So there's no cutting or splicing for the wiring. There's no drilling required at all for mounting this up. It's just a really easy way to replace that broken or damaged mirror on your Highlander.So whenever you get this, you can just take the old mirror off, pop a new one on exactly how you took the old one off, and you'll notice that this piece is separated from the rest of our housing. That's because you can actually paint this backing cover to match what the rest of your vehicle. And it's a lot easier to do that whenever this cover is removed.
Once you pop this in place, it's pretty hard to get it off again, without scratching or marring the surface. So if you have a white or a red Highlander or some other color and you want to get that matched up to the rest of your vehicle, you definitely want to do this with that cover off.So once it's all painted and dry, then you can pop it into place and there'll be good to go., But that's basically what it looks like whenever it's put into place. It does have the convex lens to give us a greater field of you so we can see what's going on behind us. There's also a blind spot sensor there so we can know if somebody is coming up into our blind spot along side us. This is for the passenger side.
So if somebody is coming up on our passenger side, we'll be able to see that indicator there even if we don't see them in our mirror.We'll also have the turn signal indicator as well. Remote operates. So you can adjust the mirror face from inside your vehicle, just with those factory controls, just like the original, and it also has a heated face to reduce any kind of frost or ice and any fog that might build up in this. So it should match with all those original functions on your Highlander. Now, if your vehicle didn't have remote capability, heated glass, turn signal, or blind spot detection system, this is not going to upgrade your vehicle.
This is only going to work. If your vehicle already has those functions. Since if you didn't have them before, it's just not going to have the proper wiring and connect into. That's something to keep in mind.The thing that this does not support is the memory function. So if your Highlander had the memory function where it flips out and remembers where your mirror was positioned, this does not support that. So keep that in mind. Again, this is for the passenger side. If you need the driver's side mirror, we also have that available here etrailor.com. That part number is going to be KS70188T. Transaction with you was pleasant. However,the after-market product is inferior to the dealer's, in that the HEATING ELEMENT does NOT cover the entire surface of the mirror & takes much longer to work.
The passenger side mirror for my 2013 Hyundai Elantra proved a no-sweat installation and all the electrics worked at a quarter the cost of a factory replacement mirror.

Timely arrival, installation is not easy but doable, with basic skills and minimal tools it can be done in a few hours. [online video] helps. Fit great, worked as it should and this guy is happy. Quality is impressive and seems well built; time will tell. Customer service is excellent, emailed them with questions, next day response, convinced me this is a good quality company and wants to keep my business.

Works great had it installed at the dealership. Would not accept my chrome piece that snaps into the back of the mirror, (different tab locations from OEM) but I needed the mirror more than the chrome. Would highly recommend for replacement.
When i ordered the driver side mirror, i was disappointed to find that it did not match my original toyota mirror. Since i only needed to replace one mirror, having to order a passenger side mirror to replace a perfectly good mirror was not ideal. My toyota factory mirror covers do not fit your mirror and your mirror is bigger and is a different shape.
Arrived on time, appears to be a perfect match. Will follow up if any post-install problems. Customer service on the transaction was excellent.
I bought this mirror online a while ago for my Santa Fe sport AWD 2017, when I was buying that time I thought it will have all functions in a same way my old side mirror performing that time. But my BSD system in Car stopped working since the first day of install as this new mirror wont support that Blind Spot detection or this mirror only for heat and signal. Overall, I would like to recommend this mirror.
....although the delivery of the item I ordered was longer than originally committed to by etrailer, when the item finally arrived, the product was as described and a factory replacement for the vehicle.

Fits my 2018 Rav4 Adventure. Watched [online] videos on how to replace. Completed the project in about 30 mins. (Pretty easy) Dealership quoted me at ~$500 for the repair and install so saved a lot of money in the long run. Package shipped quick and staff alerted me about shipping every step of the way. etrailer got us a wonderful looking replacement mirror, the electric remote and lights work like new, and the customer service was over-the-top. The dealer wanted $450+ to replace a side mirror on a 2010 Kia, but etrailer's $70 replacement is as good as new, easy to install, and brought my daughter's car back to life. When the first one was damaged in shipment, the etrailer staff was quick to remedy and keep me posted. Mirrors for 03 Silverado. Trailer mirrors before removal and the new mirrors I purchased. Power with manual fold, heated and signal in mirror. Easy change and exact fit.
Appears well constructed and perfect fit. Wire harness was perfect. 100% replication of functions. Mirror to door seal may leak over time. Factory seal was thicker, and could not re-use due to minor difference in mirror construction. Also, factory wire harness had a protective snap-in shroud and a few more wires, but does not appear to matter. I would recommend. My truck is 2007 Silverado Classic.
