Hello, neighbors and friends, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at our Replacement Suction Cup Mount Kit for the Voyager WiSight 2.0 Wireless RV Backup Camera Monitors. That's right, folks, just a simple replacement suction cup mount for the Voyager WiSight 2.0 Wireless RV Backup Camera Monitor. So, obviously, once you get everything assembled here, you can tighten or loosen the nut here on the backside, and you can pop this in or out. You've got the suction pad here, and the lever here to engage or disengage that suction mount as needed. And again, it goes on here, and then you simply tighten the nut.
Everything here is a nice, durable plastic. You've got a base down here to hold it with the pad on the back here to keep it in place, and also give it a little bit of shock absorption when it's in place. Now, this secures the monitor for the inside of the windshield dashboard. Again, a Replacement Suction Cup Mount for the Voyager WiSight 2.0 Wireless RV Backup Camera Monitors. It works! I ordered one from another large online seller from the jungle and it didn't work for the WiSight 2.0. The one I ordered from etrailer.com works great.
I bought a new suction cup because the old one would not stay attached to the windshield. I cleaned the replacement suction cup and installed the Voyager back up camera to the windshield and down the road I went. I did not make it five minutes and it fell off the windshield. I reattached it 4-5 more times and it fell off within a couple minutes each time.Game over. The old did work for 4 years before it said no more.

That’s definitely frustrating, especially after replacing it and still having it fail that quickly. A couple things come to mind since you were getting good life out of the original one. Suction mounts can be really sensitive to surface condition and temperature. Even if the cup is clean, if the windshield has any residue like interior cleaner, protectant, or even a slight film, it can keep it from sealing fully. Sometimes wiping the glass with isopropyl alcohol and letting it dry completely makes a big difference. Temperature can play a role too. If the glass is cold or the cup is stiff, it won’t conform as well. Warming the suction cup slightly, even just with your hands or letting it sit in a warm cab, can help it get a better seal. That said, if it’s dropping within minutes repeatedly, it could just be a defective cup or a worn mounting surface on the camera bracket. I also went ahead and reached out to Voyager for you to see if they have any additional insight or a possible replacement option.
Product description is misleading at best. The replacement mounting kit DOES NOT fit both different sized monitors (4.3"/7.0") despite verbiage below. I was refunded the cost of the kit but not return shipping. Really??? Buyer beware!

The original suction cup would not hold the monitor any longer. The new mount kit is holding up very well and no issues so far.
It didn’t fit our unit we had to return it.
