Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the JR Products, propane hose. Like most propane hoses, this is going to connect between your LP gas cylinder and your travel trailers regulator. The main thing that you're looking for when you're trying to find a hose like this is probably going to be the length, to make sure that you're going to have enough to connect between your tank and your regulator. This is a 15-inch long hose. The actual measurement, it's a little bit longer than that, and, say, it's about 15 and five- eighths of an inch long. It's got a quarter inch diameter inside this rubber hose here.
So it's going to provide plenty of flow rate for you so that you can use all your appliances. The other thing that you're going to be interested in is the connection points. So here we have a Type-1 ACME or it's sometimes called a QCC1, this mounts onto the outside of your LP gas cylinders valve. And it's going to tighten on clockwise, which is going to be a lot easier for those of us who remember how to tighten things using the righty-tighty lefty-loosey method. On the other end, we're going to get the quarter inch male inverted flare. That's going to connect to your regulator. So this is the one that you really need to pay attention to. This QCC1 fitting is going to work with almost all your gas cylinders out there.
So you don't really have to worry about it. We'll just tighten by hand. This one is the one that you want to make sure that is going to be compatible with your regulator. You want to ensure that it's got a female flare end so that this male inverted flare end will fit in there. This is going to have a internal back-check, that's going to prevent any leaks. So that's something else that you might be concerned about.
This will help you with that. There is a bypass mode. If it senses that it's got a leak, it will push the pressure down to the minimum pressure. But you're going to have plenty of flow before you get to that point. So you probably won't have to worry about that. This is UL and CSA approved, so it should be a good fit for you.
If you need that length and those two connection points. That's going to complete our look at the JR Products, propane hose..
