Hello, neighbors and friends, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at a replacement plow shoe assembly for your Meyer snow plows. Now folks, this does replace one, quantity one, shoe assembly for your Meyer model ST-78 or C-8.5 snow plow. It is comparable to a Meyers part number 09126. And as you probably already know, it mounts to the bottom of the blade, so the cutting edge can safely travel over uneven surfaces and it's gonna help reduce wear and tear on the cutting edge and extend its life. You got the snap pin and clip here, or some people call it linchpin.
And that just clips on, you've got all the washers here. So you can remove some if you don't need 'em, and obviously it pivots a little bit, so that way it can do its job. It is made here in the US with a nice one year warranty. And as far as some dimensions, this guy overall, if you put a straight edge here, is 8 1/2 inches tall. It is 8 1/8 inch long, and it's about three inches wide on the widest point here.
The shaft itself is a 1 1/4 inch diameter thick shank. And the shaft overall when you remove the washers off of it and measure from here to the bottom of where the pin comes through, I was getting 5 3/8 inches tall. I have successfully used these Snowplow Skid Shoe Assemblies on my JD5083E tractor's JD hydraulic swivel snowplow blade here on the ranch access road (12 miles of plowing each time out.) Skid shoes eventually wear down and will fail, but these replacement plow shoe assemblies (design and material) work very well on my JD hydraulic blade at lower cost and quick delivery from etrailer.com.
I bought a Detail K2 snow and I love it, but the skid shoes were very small and the shaft too short. I replaced them with these replacements. They were very easy to install and work great. Shaft has plenty of room and will not fall off like the original did.

Used on Land Pride snow plow, on which the stock shoes wore out in less than one winter. This shoe is solid cast steel and is holding up considerably better than stock shoes. Will reorder!
