Video Transcript for Review of Meyer Replacement Basic Lift Cylinder Snowplow - ME84JR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this replacement basic lift cylinder for your Meyer snowplow. Now this is going to be the part that actually raises and lowers the plow blade when you use the controls in your truck. And this is the basic style lift cylinder, meaning it's the standard vertical cylinder, not one of the cylinders used to angle the blade left or right, but we do carry those here at etrailer as well if you are looking for that instead. This is commonly used on light duty Meyer plows, like the Lot Pro, the LD Series, Diamond Edge and some Super V setups that use the E-73 or V-73 hydraulic systems.

In terms of size, it has about a one and three quarter inch bore and an eight inch stroke. And then when fully retracted, as I obviously have it here, lemme see if I can put a tape measure on this real quick. Sometimes this can be tricky to show this type of measurement on camera, but I'm measuring center of hole to center of hole as I hope you can see. Get my arm out of the way, right at 15 inches on center and that's gonna be, obviously when it's retracted. You are going to get one, which is all you're going to need since most Meyer plows use a single lift ram, so this is gonna make it a direct replacement for Meyer if your original cylinder is leaking, it's bent or no longer lifting the blade properly.
