Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a quick look at this Flare It PEX male adapter fitting. This RV freshwater plumbing adapter connects pipes and hoses in your RV freshwater plumbing system, whether you're needing to repair leaky connections or install new lines. Now, this is going to work with your PEX pipes, the old, gray PV pipes and poly vinyl tubing. This half-inch MPT connection fits hoses or tubes with half-inch FPT fittings.
And this three-eighths inch barbed connection fits three-eighths inch inner diameter hoses and tubes. And the barbed connection with the compression nut means that you're not gonna need any tools for a tight, secure fit. Now, to install this, it's going to be relatively simple. You are going to slide this compression nut over the pipe and then you are going to insert this barbed end into your pipe. Now this is going to take a little bit of doing, you might have to rock this back and forth and apply quite a bit of pressure to get that to slide into the pipe, but once that's in, you're going to then bring this compression nut back down and then begin to thread it into place, tightening it down.
So this connection will be very secure for you. We have been very impressed at how secure the connection was on other flare it fittings. So while you install it by hand and you get it tightened down by hand, if you ever need to take this fitting out of the pipe, it is going to be, it's going to take quite a bit of effort to get that off because of that tight connection. You might even have to use some tools such as like a pair of vice grips, to take this out of the pipe if you ever need to do that. So all that to say, once you have this installed, it's going to be a very secure fit and you're really not gonna have to worry about it.
The Polyoxymethylene construction is going to be very durable and it's going to be very resistant to stress cracking. And I think that's gonna wrap up our look today. I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
