Today on our 2001 GMC Yukon well be installing the Weathertech mud flaps for the rear wheels, part number WT120006. First note weve already gone ahead and raised and removed the rear wheel on the drivers side. Now were ready to go ahead and install the mud flap. Well take the mud flap and sit it into position on the rear inner fender well. Then well take the machine screw and flat washer provided with our install kit and feed it over the top hole through the inner fender well. Then we can secure it with a flange nut provided.
Well simply tighten this down finger tight at this time. Next well take the quick turn stainless steel fastener from the unlock position to the lock position and tighten it down with the wrench provided. Now we can go ahead and take the black pushpin fastener, provided with our install kit, and secure the center attachment point. Now we can go ahead and tighten up the flange nut completely securing our top fastener. Now with our drivers side done well go ahead and repeat the same process on the passenger side.
With both sides this will complete the install of the Weathertech mud flaps, part number WT120006, on our 2001 GMC Yukon.

I have not taken them off yet so that says a lot. These are a good investment….period. They cut down on debris that used to fly up and hit the side of the truck.

The photos show road debris on the front and rear fenders that was deposited prior to installing the mud flaps. The debris was left in place when the flaps were installed. My idea was to show how the flaps would prevent road debris deposits in the future.

After a year my mud flaps still look and fit like new. Zero issues. Just wish they were a bit wider.
