Today we're reviewing part number CAM55501 from Camco. This is power grip marinestyle powercord adapterwith handle. It connects 30 amp plugs to the power source on the dock or at the RV park. This is the female end, you plug your RV or boats 30 amp plug into the female receptacle and then turn the threaded locking rick clockwise, as you can see I'mturning it to my right and that tightens it and helps to keep it weather proof. Their instructions right on the plug telling you which way to turn the threaded locking ring to tighten it or to loosen it.At the other end of the 25 foot extension cord is the male plug and you're going to plug that into the 30 amp power source at the RV park or on the dock. The connectors are bright yellow so they're easy to see even in dim light. Now if you'd like you can also purchase separately this very convenient carrying handle.
It just fit it around the extension cord helps if you do it the right way up and just buckle it in the way normally do a clip buckle. Just received the adapter and haven't had a chance to use it yet. But I've wanted one of these for a long time now as the 50 amp plug sticks straight out from the receptacle. Always thought this was a dumb design as it puts a lot of stress on the plug and cord. The prices are starting to look more attractive so I decided to bite the bullet and get one.
Works just as it should. Now I can use my 30 amp extension cord with my 5th wheel when I am at a campsite or storage that does not have 50 amp connections. The adapter arrived just a promised and the customer service was outstanding. I will order from etrailer again.
This extension has been a game saver on a couple occasions. There have been a couple of parks where the extension has come in handy. Well made lives up to its expectations. A must have.

This product is answer to my dreams. Have a 37' Pace Arrow which had a 3.5k generator which was only capable of running one a cat a time. Generator died and I quickly found out generator repair people are rarer than Amish electricians. Bought a 7k generator and was arranging to pay an electrician to wire it in to rv when I discoveees this incredible connection. It twists in to 120/240 outlet on generator and accepts 4 prong rv cord. GREAT!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Turned on both ac's for first time since I owned rv, (over 10 yrs). Within mins rv was cool and I have enough power for another rv. This thing is great. I highly recommend to anyone with an rv with a small generator or generator in need of repair, go buy a 7k running amp generator and this plug and you're set with plenty of electrical power. Also, the quality and durability of this part is suprisingly amazing. You can easily run over this plug with your rv and not phase it. BUY ONE. This will be the best rv purchase you can make. This does all that I hoped for. It’s a solid connection to the 5th wheel. It doesn’t torque the connection with the weight of the cord sticking straight out,

I bought it to provide strain relief for my RV power cord. It works well, except the locking ring can be frustrating (sticky and/or cross threading).

The elbow connector is doing it’s job. Much easier to connect to the side of our travel trailer than the straight cord connection that came with it. Extends the original cord by 2 feet and relieves the stress on the connection on the side of the trailer. Working well
I got this to take the stress off the connections from the hose diameter 50 amp cord. It appears to be very heavy duty and it's nice to have the cord drop straight down instead of sticking straight out and then curving down.

This trailer plug is what everyone needs if you have 50 amp camper plug and if you go to a camping site that has 30 amp service with this plug you can get 45 amps of service. so I can run both my AC units at the same time. Very well made. Heavy Duty. Thank you E-Trailer!!!
