This one actually stays attached to the mirror (my previous purchase of another product kept slipping off, even when I added a small C-clamp to hold it on). The magnet idea is genius; nothing to clamp or unclamp. The only downside is the magnet doesn't work through the case I have, though it may work with some thinner cases.
Did not fit on the rear view mirror I needed it for. So I put it on a car where it would fit and shook around too much to follow the map.
The construction fine and the magnet held the phone ok.
Adhesive on the product did not work well on my Ford-F250 textured dash surface particularly in the Florida climate. Held up for only a few weeks. However, the adhesive works well on my jeep dash surface because it is smooth. I think mechanical fasteners work much better than adhesives in our climate.
It was easy to connect it to my bike handle. The magnet is super strong to hold my phone in place. The only problem is that the safety feature, rubber phone holder is too small for my iPhone Plus.
Game changer for me! I was skeptical this would hold but it has! I have a UAG phone case that protects my phone to military standards and the magnet still holds securely. I love that I can adjust and rotate my phone as needed without completely taking it off and resetting.
