After it has been secured, this Blaylock EZ Lock ensures peace of mind by preventing would-be thieves from hitching up to your fifth-wheel trailer and towing it away. Simply position the lock around your king pin, insert the 3/4" diameter steel pin through the holes in the lock, and secure the pin in place with a padlock (sold separately).

Today we're going to review part number BLTL-70. This is the Blaylock EZ Lock King Pin Lock for 5th wheel trailers. This Kingpin lock will prevent theft of your 5th wheel trailer. It is a heavy duty aluminum bracket which will fit around your trailer's Kingpin. The three quarter inch diameter steel pin will slide through the bracket to secure the lock to your Kingpin. Now, this does not come with a padlock.
It is designed on this pin to put a padlock through this. Wedo sell those separately. Now, you can use any padlock you want that would fit through here, but we do recommend the Master Lock brand stainless steel padlock, which is part number ML40D that we sell separately. This is a aircraft grade lightweight aluminum construction which is very strong and resist wear and corrosion. It is made in the USA. Again, the application is most 5th wheel trailer Kingpins.
I just want to give you an example here. I happen to pull a example of an industry standard. This is an industry standard two-inch sized Kingpin that would be on your 5th wheel. Basically, what you would do is take this collar, slide it around your Kingpin, take your three quarter inch diameter pin, slide it through and then right where this hole is, you put your padlock in there, and then that would lock it to the Kingpin, so nobody will be able to hook up to your Kingpin and tow away your 5th wheel trailer. Now just to give you a few dimensions on this. The overall width on this is three and three quarter inches.
The inside width right in here is, let's do it right up here, is two and five eight inches. If you'll notice it goes down to a little bit narrower where it goes on the Kingpin.
