Today, we'll be reviewing Part Number 90TRISPT. These are the Master Lock Gun Trigger Locks. They are keyed alike. Three locks are included as well as six keys. The standard trigger locks are going to help prevent accidental firing. They will fit most handguns, rifles, and shotguns. Keep in mind that they may not fit guns with integrated trigger guards made of molded plastic or composite material.
Theyre made from a durable steel construction, and the zinc bodies resist tampering. Here in the center, they do have rubber pads that line interiors of the locks to guard against scratching, so they are going to protect the finish. We'll go ahead and show you how these work. I'm only going to do the demonstration on one since they're all three the same. You would place the key in here and you would turn it clockwise. That's going to allow you to separate the two halves.
Your first step of installing this would be you would need to insert the key, turn the lock, separate the two halves. Insert the front lock unit, this is the section with the keyhole with the ratchet post, position through the trigger guard, and if you can install it behind the trigger, then that's going to give you the best security. Then you can insert the rear unit on there, and you want to make sure that the outside edges of both units are matching each other. Also, keep in mind that you may be able to achieve a more effective fit on some guns by positioning the lock differently. Since there's so many different makes and models and styles out there, you're just going to have to mess around with it and see what's going to best fit. These do come with instructions and they are very thorough and very helpful when it comes to installing this. After determining the best position, you just press the two units together.
You want to push them tight enough to where you make certain that the lock is tight and cannot be removed. It ratchets together. Again, it has the padded inside so its not going to cause any harm or damage to the trigger or the finish of the gun. Once that's in there, it's going to take up the whole trigger area, and its going to prevent the handgun, your rifle, or your shotgun from being able to be accidentally fired. It's very safe, very nice to have if you are a gun owner. That's going to do it for today's review of Part Number 90TRISPT.

It's hard to rate/review this lock, because I've not had the occasion of someone trying to tamper with it. It was easy to install and secure the triggers on both my Tikka T3 and my Sako A7 rifles. And, when I fly in Canada again having these locks on my rifle will be easier than taking the bolts out and putting them in another bag.

Ordered 9 keyed alike Master Lock trigger locks was told it might take a while because there were not that many keyed alike in stock. But the locks arrived less than two weeks later. I installed the locks this morning. Looks like they will do the job. I paid a bit more than other locks at other retailers but I think these are better and was able to get them all keyed alike. Paid a bit more but good value for for the money.
Someone in the Toyota Tacoma forum recommended this lock to put in the tail gate access hole for the spare tire to prevent it being stolen. It works quite well. Apparantly you can use this lock on guns too.
