Strong, Lightweight Carbon Fiber Construction

CE Smith's carbon fiber outrigger poles are stronger and lighter than aluminum poles to give you a better trolling setup. They remain rigid even when exposed to high speeds, winds, and waves. This strength ensures that your lines stay true in the water for a natural presentation instead of being whipped about and pulled in and out of the water. Carbon fiber also weighs less than aluminum, so these poles won't weigh down your T-top or center console, or put unnecessary stress on mounting points. The lighter weight also makes them much easier to deploy and retract than similar aluminum poles.

Carbon fiber poles are resistant to bending and buckling, even when pulling large lures. In a test conducted by CE Smith, weights were hung from the tips of these carbon fiber poles and from aluminum poles. The CE Smith carbon fiber poles were able to hold double the weight of the aluminum poles. Also, the carbon fiber poles could still rebound back into a straight position when the weights were removed, while the aluminum poles became permanently bent.

Convenient Telescoping Design

Each outrigger pole is made of 3 tapered sections - the tip, the middle, and the base - that telescope out to create a single rigid structure. When extended, internal Taper-Lok mechanisms engage at each joint to keep the sections from separating.

Each pole comes with 2 corrosion-resistant, stainless steel collars that cover the joints. Integrated into the collars are dual eyes used to thread your halyards up to the tip of the pole.

Collapse the poles by twisting the poles to disengage the Taper-Lok. Each pole collapses to a length of 7' for compact storage. A storage bag is included for the poles so they stay clean, protected, and easily portable.

Removable Sleeve Creates Perfect Fit

Each pole comes with a removable aluminum sleeve pre-installed on the base. With the sleeve installed, the outer diameter of the base is 1-5/8", which allows the pole to fit into most aluminum outrigger pole holders. The sleeve can be removed to change the base diameter to 1-1/2" so that the pole can fit into most stainless steel outrigger pole holders. The base and sleeve are both pre-drilled with multiple holes so that they can accommodate a variety of outrigger holders and their lock pins.
