ISTHRC AMG Iowa State Metal Emblem 2" Hitch Cover

Today we're going to be taken a look at the Iowa State University 2 inch hitch cover from AMG. The hitch cover is going to allow you to show your school pride. It's going to add a clean finished look to your hitch, and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover is going to be made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black powder coat finish, which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Here on the front we're going to have a chrome plated metal emblem. The unit is going to feature a rust proof and fade proof design.
It's made in the USA. It's also going to have a foam gasket around the backside. That's really going to help reduce rattle in between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. The hitch cover does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock for a complete installation. Those items are sold separately, but if you're in need of one you can find them right here at etrailer.com.
The pinholes on this hitch cover will accept a standard 5/8th inch diameter pin. We're going to take a measurement of the hitch cover face. Starting with the overall width, that looks to measure about 5 inches. The overall height, that's going to measure about 3-1/2 inches. The distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pinhole it's going to be almost 2-1/2 inches. This is designed for a 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitch receiver.
Very simple installation; all you've got to do is slide it into the receiver tube of your hitch, line up the pinholes and then secure it with the hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock. That's going to do it for today's look at the Iowa State University 2 inch hitch cover from AMG.

I love the emblem. Exactly as shown in the photos and the construction of this is solid.
My only problem is that the length of the tube does not allow me to use it when I have the anti-rattle collar installed. I have to remove the anti-rattle when not towing. I would love it if there was an option for a tube that is maybe 1 inch longer.

Item was exactly what I expected and arrived sooner than anticipated. The customer service was excellent. I received several emails with the status of my purchase.
Assembly is metal, but the ISU emblem is actually plastic. This does not work on our vehicle, the plate were the emblem is mounted is quit a bit bigger than the receiver and since our receiver is flush against the bottom of the bumper it won't fit our vehicle. I plan to remove the emblem and grint the top off to fit, then put emblem back on.
Problem is with my use, not the product.

The package was delivered with my father’s name instead of mine, even though I ordered it and had my name on the order, contact info, shipping intro, and billing. We live in the same house, so that’s probably why, but it was meant to be a gift for him and he opened it as it got mistakenly addressed to him. I’m happy with the product but very disappointed his surprise was ruined.

Very good product and well made, came very fast. Only problem is that it does not fit 2015 Chevy 2500 hitches. It's to short, not long enough for the hitch pin to go through.

We gave this hitch cover to our son in Colorado for Christmas last year. He was very pleased to receive it. It has been on his Jeep ever since. It has stood up quite well. He is very proud to show off his love for ISU.
Ordered a Iowa State Hitch Cover, extremely fast shipping received it the next day! Very good quality would recommend to anyone!
The chrome fell off the trailer hitch within six weeks of the purchase.
