Today we're going to be taking a look at the Washington State University 2 inch hitch cover from AMG. The hitch cover is going to light to show your school pride for the Washington State Cougars. It also adds a clean finished look to your hitch and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover is made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black powder coat finish which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Here at the front we have the chrome plated metal emblem. It's got a nice rust proof and fade proof design.
The product is American made. Here on the back side it's got a foam gasket that goes around the piece that slides into the receiver tube of your hitch. That's really going to help reduce rattle in between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. The hitch cover does require a hitch pinning clip or a hitch lock for complete installation.
Those items are sold separately but if you in need of one you can find them right here at etrailer.com. The pin holes on the hitch cover will accept a standard 5/8 inch diameter pin. A few measurements to go over with you real quick starting with the overall width of the hitch cover face, we're looking at about 5 inches, overall height is going to be about 3 1/2 inches, and then the distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pinhole is going to be almost 2 1/2 inches. Now this is designed for a 2 inch by 2 inch trailer hitch receiver. Very simple installation. Just slide it into the receiver tube of your hitch, line up your pinholes and secure with the hitch pinning clip or hitch lock.
That's going to do it for today's look at the Washington State University 2 inch hitch cover from AMG.
