The easiest thing to do would be to use the Blue Ox Adjustable Drop Hitch Receiver Adapter # BLU48CR and the etrailer Magnetic Hitch Receiver Reducer Sleeve # e28JR so I recommend going that route. The only advantage you'll see from installing a 2" receiver is if you plan on using your motorhome for towing multiple different things and it makes more sense having the more common 2" receiver.

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the start of the gusset they said it is 4.7" and to the back of the vertical section is 7.7".
