Video Transcript for How to Install the WeatherTech Front Auto Floor Mats on a 2016 Acura MDX

Today on our 2016 Acura MDX, we're going to review and install the WeatherTech custom-fit floor liner for the front row, part number WT445761, black in color. This application is also available in tan, part number WT455761. All right, to begin our instal, we need to remove the old or manufacturer's floor mat. We'll simply unlock it from the manufacturer's attachment points and pull it out of the way. Now, after we've removed the mat, it's pretty easy to see where there's a dirt buildup because there's no coverage. The dirt's fallen off the mat and getting onto our carpeting, eventually that's going to get ground in and cause it to soil. We also don't have any coverage here for the driver's footrest. Now let's go ahead and install the new WeatherTech liner.

As we slide our custom-fit liner into place, it's pretty clear to see we've got more coverage area. We'll our liner in place, we'll fit down over the manufacturer's attachment points because we've got the special molding to cover that. We can even utilize those attachment points. Once we're secured, our liner won't shift or move it around, not long because we're using those manufacturer attachment points, but the custom molding and contouring of the floor liner itself will really help to hold it in place. As you can see, we've got coverage going all the way up under the front-row seating. Here we've got our raised outer edge, even all the way up to the threshold here.

As it extends and goes up underneath the dash, we've got coverage for that driver's footrest and an extension going way up underneath the gas and brake pedal for that additional coverage. We also have a nice raised outer edge coming back down the console. Here at the bottom, we have this channels and groove specifically designed for traction and divert any liquid spills on inclement weather that we may drag into the vehicle such as rain, snow, or ice. Here on the passenger side, it's just like the driver's side. We'll remove the old or manufacturer's mat and install the new WeatherTech liner. Then just like on the driver's side, we've got the coverage area for the attachment points.

We've got our raised outer edge as it goes up underneath the dash. It continues on all the way up underneath the dash for that coverage area. Then again here on the bottom, we've got our specific design channels and moldings to help divert and of that liquid spill away from the feet so it will stay nice and dry. Not only are these floor liners easy to install, but they're also easy to remove and can be cleaned with soap and water. Now with our floor liners installed, we're ready to hit the road.
