Video Transcript for Review of InfiniteRule Trailer Hitch Lock - Standard Pin Lock - IR36FR

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer. Today we'd take a look at the Infinite Rule, three quarter inch diameter stainless steel hitch locks. And this is for the fast wave flash HD adjustable ball mounts and the Gen Y 32,000 pound mega duty adjustable ball mounts. If you notice, this kit will include three locks. Now these are a durable stainless steel lock. They'll replace the standard pins that's on that fastway flash HD adjustable ball mount, and also the Gen Y 32,000 pound mega duty adjustable ball mounts.

Just to give you an idea what we're talking about, I'm gonna pop up an insert that's an example of one of the gen Y ball mounts that these locks will work on. The three locks are interchangeable, they are all keyed alike. You can use these locks to secure the ball mount and the accessories to the adjustable ball mount platform. One thing that I do wanna mention, these locks will not, do not fit the vehicle's hitch receiver. So if you wanna lock the ball mount to your hitch receiver, that will require a different lock.

Now the shear strength on these locks, it's 32,000 pounds. The diameter, again, is three quarters of an inch. The overall dimension, the length one end to the other is six and a half inches. The inside length or usable length, which is from here to here, is three and seven eighths inches. These are a nice durable stainless steel construction.

They'll prevent rusting. They do go through rigorous testing to ensure the hitch lock can handle extreme towing and off-road activity. If you notice I've taken this lock off, this one right in here, it has this nice O-ring which will protect the internal components from dirt and grime. So when you go and install this, you'll slide this through the hole and then you'll put this on the end, twist it until you hear it click, and then take one of the keys, put your key in, and then just twist it like you're tightening down a bolt. And after a few turns it'll tighten up.

And once you get it snug, what you'll do is turn the key, there's four different marks on there. Just turn the key to one of the marks like that and then you'll be able to slide the key out. You have to turn the lock to one of those marks to pull the key out and then put the cap back on there. And now it's all locked ready to go, simple as that. The weather resistant tethered dust cap is nice 'cause it'll keep water debris out of the keyway. Now it does come with three keys and as we mentioned, the lock coolers are keyed alike, so the one key would work on all three. These parts are made in the USA.
