Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Weigh Safe True Tow weight distribution shank for your two inch trailer hitch receiver. Now this shank is going to slide into your two inch receiver and it's going to give you the attachment point for your weight distribution system's head assembly. This is designed for use with Weigh Safe True Tow hitches with either an 8,500 pound or 12,500 pound gross towing weight. And this has a maximum tongue weight of 1200 pounds and a maximum gross towing weight of 12,500 pounds.
Now in this orientation, you're gonna get a maximum drop of about 10 inches. When you flip this over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of about 11 inches, and this has an incremental height adjustment of 1 1/4 inches. And just to give you some measurements here in case you we inchesre interested, looking at the overall length, we're almost at 11 inches. And then the overall height right at about 14 1/2 inches tall. Some other measurements you might be interested in, measuring from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the adjustment hole's right at seven inches on center.
And then from the center of the hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, right at three inches. The pinhole diameter is 5/8 of an inch. It's constructed of high strength steel. It's got a great finish on it, so it's gonna be strong, it's gonna be durable, it's gonna be long lasting. I think that finish is gonna hold up really well for you.
