Always great products from Curt. It took longer to wire the trailer lights than it did to install the hitch!

The hitch is as I expected working out great. The finish is good, I’ve pulled rental trailers from Florida to Ohio.

Love the hitch but it was a little painful to install.
It's not eTrailer's fault. When bolting up the trailer one of the bolts
would not line up. The holeI was off by 1/32 of an inch. No matter how you
arranged the five bolts it would always be one on the four corners of the
hitch that would not line up properly. After 2 hours I finally got it
installed. Added a Thule Trailways 959 Bike Rack to the mix and I love it
even more! Next is to install the wire harness for a trailer. FYI you can
reinstall the 2 panels you take off for installation. The passenger side
goes on just fine and you have to trim off small section to get the drivers
side panel back on. Just trial fit it, mark it, cut, and reinstall. Helps
to keep the dirt out too.

Shipping Box is Very Poor! Product is ok but Yeah not good packing... Gurr...

I'm very happy with this purchase. I use the hitch for my bike rack. I have not towed with it yet. The installation took about 45 minutes and I recommend having a car jack or second set of hands to lift the hitch into position.

Awesome and thank you so much!

Here
is my review of the trailer hitch:

Needed a hitch for my 'new to me' 2015 NISSAN Rogue. Fairly easy self-install using wood blocks to support hitch weight. Hardest part was plastic trim fastener plugs near the rear axle because it's hard to see when you are on the ground. Took 2 hours which included a 1 hour trip to Lowes because I realized I didn't have the right size sockets. D'oh! The hitch is rock solid and perfect for my RockyMounts Backstage. My 3rd time purchasing from etrailer - great install & research videos. Bonus was the price went down $xx.xx three weeks after I ordered it. I called and they refunded the difference. That's why I choose etrailer.com -Wow!

Incredible savings!!! I bought this hitch last year- self installed-Thank you!!!!!

My friends paid up to 400% more for their hitch and installation.

Very easy to do with video instructions from etrailer.com. I am 47 chubby guy and installed by myself.

Freaking awesome. I use it every weekend for cycling rides, landscape trailer.

Perfect for my Nissan Rouge.

I am glad I made this purchase- highly recommend. Be not afraid.........

Fast shipping, easy installation, and huge savings!!! (4 road bikes)

Absolutely amazed and pleased with etrailer! In the world where the past 20 + years customer service Was sacrificed on the altar of competing for the big box brick or Online cheapest product. etrailer has great pricing and products but more importantly the product knowledge, comparison listing, specific detail videos and photos, timely shipping and detailed instructions specific to the vehicle shows to great lengths and effort “they chose” to become the best at what they do. The moral of the story “you don’t have to cancel customer service and excellence to bring pricing and availability to the client”... meaning everybody else is just lazy!.
Thank you!
2018 Nissan Rogue: everything went perfectly as directed including the Curt harness. I did choose my own modification as pictured : pic: I removed the driver side rear trim as instructed. But I trimmed the plastic, cutting a straight line to the back and along edge so It now clears the hitch bracket, and easily reinstalled it.

2015 Nissan Rogue

Product is very well made, fit my vehicle, and was fairly simple to install. Please try to improve packing and shipping. Box seemed too narrow, was damaged and torn open with portions of the hitch sticking out. Delivered 5 days later than initially estimated. Lots of scratches and dings to the finish and frame, but will work okay.

Nissan

This order came in promptly and fit the vehicle attach points. The hitch is solid built and appears to have a good paint job. It took me about 30 minutes to install. The manufacturer's instructions specified 86 ft-lbs of torque on the bolts which was hard to get with my torque wrench which has a 19 inch handle (not enough length for me). There were two bolts on each side vs four on the Nissan factory hitch (which is offered only as an inch and a quarter receiver size. This made me a little nervous about the capacity of the hitch since the bolts were the same diameter on the Curtis hitch but half as many. The side mounting plates on the Nissan hitch were not present on the Curtis which, by design take a lot of the torsional load in a braking situation. The photos show the Nissan hitch which you can compare to the Curtis product photo to see the difference. I am going to use this hitch but only plan to have light loads on it so expect it will be strong enough for that.

The entire process of selecting, acquiring, and installing this trailer hitch and electrical connection was one of the best I've every experienced. The website and detailed installation videos were spot-on, even down to identifying where the job would get "a little tough" and how to prepare for it. Total hitch and electrical installation time was 2-1/2 hrs, including having to run a battery supply "+" wire all the way up to the engine compartment. Etrailer.com selection,, installation instructions, support, and follow up was outstanding! Exceptional experience all the way around and thank you - you made it affordable and easy!

As a recent arrival to the US I discovered tow hitches are not at all the same as they are in the UK! The etrailer website made it really easy to find what I needed for my Nissan Rogue and it arrived by courier in just a couple of days. The hitch receiver and electrical hook up were straight forward to fit to the car. I didn't need to drop the exhaust as indicated in the instructions as it can be raised into position on the driver's side and held in place by the 3 partially-fitted bolts before raising the passenger side to do the same and then tightening all 5 bolts. The instructions also suggest removing the plastic covers to the rear of the wheels and not refitting then but since they are there to protect the underside of the vehicle, I put them back. The drivers side cover does need to be modified though as per my pictures. All in all a much easier job than I was anticipating and a good sturdy set of products. Very happy with this purchase.

All other OEM shipping and arrival was stock long of a wait. E-Trailer had the hitch to my home in two days. In time for our trip.

2016 Nissan Rogue

Great experience with etrailer. Best price I found on a hitch also. Delivered fast and though box had a few holes the hitch was intact and bolts were well packaged and taped securely. Decided to install myself after watching their video - no problem at all. Video was spot on and everything went pretty smoothly, the hardest part for a novice was removing the appearance panels with the little plastic clips. I attempted install without lowering exhaust as instructed and it worked out fine with a simple ratchet extension; since I was alone I used a few boards stacked up ( and screwed together for safety) to rest the hitch on, then simply tipped up one side at a time to get the bolts started. Took me about an hour overall, but would be less with right angle power ratchet as seen in video. Thanks etrailer!

Highly satisfied!!!!!
etrailer is the
best!!! I had a great experience from the very beginning, I had a question and Mike L answered it clearly, that showed me etrailer really cares. I ordered the hitch for my Nissan Rogue 2013 , it came as scheduled, it fitted perfectly, no problem at all!!! It took about 15 minutes to mount, please see pictures attached, I highly recommend etrailer, they really know their job!!
Thanks so much!!

by:

(2012 Rogue) After about 45 minutes of prep work the hitch was mounted in place in about 15 minutes (including time to torque all 5 bolts). With an extra set of hands there was no need to drop the exhaust - easy to get around the tailpipe. Also, no issues with alignment of holes.

by:

I needed a hitch on my 2017 Nissan Rogue to pull a small trailer and utilize a bike carrier I already own. I priced 3 different places for a hitch install prior to my order. I did a little research and saw how easy it was to do the install myself. You can do the math, but I saved 68%.

I placed my order July 1st. It was in my doorstep July 3rd. I installed the hitch in about 30 minutes. I used my .410 bore brush and some WD40 to clean the threads on the frame of the vehicle.

The holes lined up and the hitch fit perfectly. I’m not a mechanical guy. If I can do it, so can you. I highly recommend this hitch and etrailer.

by:

This was delivered fast and was easy to install by myself in about 35 minutes. I did not need to loosen the exhaust system and used a tire jack to hold up one side while bolted the other side in place. Great hitch.

I use it exclusively for hauling a bike rack and for a trailer rack for carrying a cooler. Definitely has done a great job and was easy to install.

by:

Package arrived quickly and with all parts intact and great instructions. Secure packaging as well. The hitch is very strong and secure. Barely noticeable under the SUV. Perfect for Bike Rack!

by:

This was my second purchase from the trailer for a Curt hitch. The first one I bought had a smaller receiver and this one has a 2” they both fit perfect and even the old one is still great. I went back to etrailer for this 2nd one because I trust them and they ship really fast.

by:

Outstanding customer service and the products hitch and bike rack are great. It is installed and in use. The delivery was within one day and that was fantastic. I love it! Now to shed the COVID-19 pounds.

by:

Tamara W did a great Job with the order. Fast service. The project took less than hour to install. If one has mechanical ability. I didn't have to lower the exhaust. Great company to deal with. We will use this hitch for a bike rack..

by:

Thanks you etrailer team for fast delivery and quality product. The product was easy to fix without any mechanic and minimal tools required. It fit great to my Nissan Rogue SL 2017 and the kick liftgate works good with the hitch.

  • Will Curt Hitch C13204 Obstruct The Backup Camera On A 2019 Nissan Rogue?
Hello Pat, thanks for reaching out. You are thinking about this the right way. With a trailer hitch like the Curt # C13204 installed on your 2019 Nissan Rogue, any cargo rack or bike rack would obstruct the camera view. Without any accessories in the hitch, the camera view will not be obstructed. That said, there are a few other important considerations with the Rogue hitch. First, the hitch may interfere with the hands-free liftgate sensor, and that functionality may be ever limited...

If you are comfortable with the trimming as shown in the video you can absolutely do it yourself. If you are not, any mechanic you trust can install it.
